You're a bit slow, I believe ED beat you to this AV.
Then this:
But the sun is required, to have "morning" and "evening".
... can take a hike.

The sun is not required to have "morning" and "evening".

Is the sun required to have shadows?

Are shadows required to define a 24hr day by "morning" and "evening"?

Maybe you would be kind enough to address post 454 on behalf of ED for me?

I'll try:
1. What is this light source?

2. Stars? It says there were no stars until the 4th day.

So earth rotating with respect to......what.......gives you your 15 degrees per hour?

3. What forces were rotating Earth in 24 hour cycles in the beginning?

4. If Earth was rotating in 24 hour cycles in the beginning as you asserted, and we know it is slowing down, wouldn't the cycles be hours longer by now?
1. God

2. God

3. Torque -- God set it in motion.

4. The earth has only been rotating for 6000 years.

Stars are quoted in the Wiki by science to illustrate the fact that
no sun is required for 24 hour days. Only a light source. I know full
well there were no stars at that time. There was, however, a light source.
The bible says there was. It does not describe what it was. I believe AV
is correct in stating it was emanating from God himself.

The earth has circled the sun over 4 billion times. It has been rotating all that time, but in earlier times it was rotating faster.

Is the earth going around the sun what gives us 1 "day"? Because that is not what the bible says.

Genesis 1:5:
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

This happened before God created the 2 great lights and the stars. The very first day was without the sun or the moon.

This further proves heliocentrism is complete fraud. When science contradicts God's word, guess what? I still go with God's word.

Torque? Don't you mean inertia?

Good effort AV!

I wouldn't expect anything less from you

You must have a claw in your paw about millions of Christians around the world, then.

None of the verses you've posted indicate that Jesus believes Genesis should be interpreted as you do. None of them present the conflict between the Bible and modern science that you and your ilk have unnecessarily perpetrated to the detriment of God's greatest creation - the human mind, which is meant to have the vitality of curiosity and to be exercised with the pursuit of knowledge. That conflict is a fallacy created by reading the Bible in a manner that goes beyond literal to the presumption that there is only one correct way to interpret the texts. Your narrow interpretation forms a sieve that strains out the marrow of Genesis.

Your habit of quote mining further demonstrates that you place more of an emphasis on the literalism of words than the intentions of their meaning. Creationist sites perpetually butcher texts, unethically severing all needed context to understand what was fully said, why, and what the speaker / writer actually meant. It's so disrespectful and tacky. Lazy creationists on here just copy and paste quotes from those sites without making any honest attempt to verify their authenticity. It's chopping up the whole truth into processed nuggets. Maybe what those men meant is reflected by what you quoted of them, but since you've proven to be an untrustworthy source of information in the past I'm not going to just accept these quotes at face value now or in the future.

So.....quoting someone's complete and full statement, who is educated and respected in a related and relevant science, when they publicly state their personal view, in something in a way that is contrary to other peoples view in order to support your own is "quote mining"?

I thought that quote mining was when you took parts or portions of a quote, carefully chosen, in order to support your opinion, when in actual fact, if the whole statement was taken in the context it was originally intended, your point would not be supported at all and may if fact be refuted.

There goes any chance of quoting any intelligent educated, verified statements on any and every topic, in order to support any argument.
Also, you can rule out any text, document, thesis, essay, book, memoirs, speech, encyclopedia or journal because...they are all quotes of someone.

SO,,, I guess, it's just going to be "what do you say" cause you cannot use any other source or its "quote mining"

Torque -- as in God either starting it turning as one does a globe by pushing on one side while pulling on the other; or blowing on it; or just pushing on one side; or commanding it to begin turning; or however He did it.

We know perfectly well how He did it. He simply allowed the general circular motion of the original nebula that became the sun and the solar system to be expressed in our planet as well.

AV was explaining Earths rotation prior to the creation of stars.

Is that the same solar system that has the sun before the earth?
