I wonder why we so often forget that God REALLY is love. Sure, many of us have days in which we feel happy, and THEN we believe that God is love. But it only takes some setbacks and some unhappiness ... and again we want to slip out of God's hand and try to handle anything alone. When it comes down to it, we sometimes do not WANT to trust God, even while God makes Himself available all the time. It's a failure in our souls, not a failure of reality, and never a failure of God. God is always only a prayer away ... and we should trust in that so deeply.
Even the anger of God has only one reason .. because He loves us. When you love you're not just a machine. You want to be a part of the life of those you love. And you also want to be respected and all that. All the commandments in the bible are for our benefit, we have a benevolent Father. We must really trust that.
It's not hard ... but often we trust fear or pride more than we trust the faith in God that has given us a future for eternity. We needn't worry about having faith ... faith is a gift, and He has given all of us a measure of it. What we need to take care of is that we justify faith in our minds, that we always put it on again, always reach out for it again, always say yes to it. Then help will always come. God's grace is new every morning, that's what the psalms say. And Jesus is a sun of grace ... not just a flickering light.
God carries us. And eternity will be a life without fears, sufferings, pains.
Let's love each other deeply, and from the heart ... life has no other meaning but to practice this love which Abba gives us.
