This is a testimony of sorts, I guess

I am writing this to show God's awesomeness (not looking for pity).

A couple of years ago I was forced to retire due to disability.
Being a type A person and hard worker this was a terrible blow.
The only way I could get things under control was to become bedridden.
This whole thing was a very humbling experience.
But I still put my whole trust in God and his timing.

I immediately wanted to sell my house but did not have the energy to pack it up.
A year ago I finally asked a friend if he could come and help out.
My college buddy said he probably would be able to in the Spring.
From about January till July I never heard from him - still trusted God to work this out.
I get an email the middle of July saying he would be at my place the next week.
I was totally thrilled and caught offguard.
 Silly because God had the timing worked out NOT me.

My friend was a tremendous help the week he was here.
He would bring me boxes to go thru.
He totally took care of the stuff in the basement.
I had not been down there in years.
And when I took my afternoon breaks he sometimes worked on the landscaping which is a passion of his.
I never asked him to do it - knowing he would on his own. ;)

After he left I made calls to get some service people in to take care of some house needs.
I wanted to have everything done before I called the realtor.
When the house got listed I prayed to God that I would really like to see it sold quickly.
"Nice landscaping" was part of the house ad and the pictures were great.
When I bought it it had been on the market nearly two years.
But I also knew it was in a great location - which is everything.

Right away there were a number of interested parties.
Out of six showings - three showed interest - staying longer than a half hour.
And sure enough within the first two weeks the eventual buyer had seen it.
Took about a week to work thru the offer and counter offer.
I had priced it reasonably knowing it needed some work.
In the end I got my asking price. Praise God.

So the plan was I was to move in temporarily with my folks till I could find an apartment.
All my belongings were being stored at their house anyway.
We started looking for apartments but they just did not fit my needs.
Two weeks from closing my aunt says her trailer is empty and up for rent.

:tutu:
When I first thought about selling the house I had asked mom if my aunt would rent the trailer but mom did not think she would.
Sure enough I moved into the trailer and got a 100 reduction in rent due to being family.
I had expected to move into a one bedroom apartment but instead got a three bedroom trailer with a two car garage.
One bedroom is really the den which is where I have the PC set up.
And my own private bathroom.

God has been good and watching out for me.
HE alone is in control and knows what is best for us.

Update: Now that things are under control I am no longer bedridden.
