I don't see why a belief in "aerial tollhouse" implies that a person also holds to the view that the soul alone is man? All the Orthodox Christians who hold to aerial tollhouse's that I know of also believe in the resurrection of the body. Maybe your experience is differnt though?

They introduce a "higher knowledge" that is accessible to "the more spiritual."

But there is a higher gnosis known to the spiritual- The knowledge of the heart. It's direct experiential knowledge of Grace and the Divine Energies of God. That is certainly a higher knowledge then mere "intellectual" head knowledge. The Church Fathers often speak of gnosis. What made the "gnostic" (so called) sects heretical wasn't their belief in a higher form of knowledge it was that their "knowledge" was often false and contridicted the teachings of Christ and his apostles.
