Many passages.
You need to be honest with those who inquire and tell them that your opinions are based on how some interpret some Scripture. There is really no verses that say God's people are going to be chastised or judged. We will have our works "evaluated" (the word "judge" is used in some translations) in order to determine the degree of our rewards in Eternity. But we have nothing to fear at the Lord's "judgment". I have heard this false teaching for decades and it's very popular in the Chick tracts but is nothing more than an attempt to scare Believers straight and rules out God's forgiveness (because we have to "pay" for our sins) and grace.

Sir, i couldn't have put it any better. BRAVO.
Some people give into these false "traditions", and refuse the truth.
TRADITION along with FEAR is what kept Israel from "going over their mountain", as well as "possessing the land".
God WANTED to bless Israel with the promise, but they prolonged it, and remained in the desert just "wandering" around aimlessly.- Much like some people today...
Hebrews 10:31
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
In the past I have been to a few churches where, for no particular reason, someone from the congregation will get up, scream, and then run in the isles between the seats. This can happen at any point during the service and, to say the least, can be quite disruptive (and it's weird).
When I ask about this behavior the answer is always something like " well, when the Holy Spirit gets a hold of someone, they just do that". With this reasoning, they allow the behavior in the church.
I can't find anything in the bible that mentions this behavior and/or states that this behavior is acceptable during a service. Because this behavior is disruptive (not to mention weird) and does not work to edify others, I see it as something that should not be allowed.
What is your opinion?

If you read the verses before that you will see that it is talking about those who have heard the truth and choose to continue to live in sin. It is not talking about those who choose to repent and follow God.
