Where have you seen "the left trying to get people on the right fired"??? I don't believe that you've ever actually seen that. Any examples?I’ve only seen the left trying to get people on the right fired. It’s rarely happened in reverse.
Here's one from the news today: A Pediatrician Joined the School Board During Covid-19. Her Face Mask Recommendations Could Cost Her the Job.I’ve only seen the left trying to get people on the right fired. It’s rarely happened in reverse. It’s obvious why they do it. They want to silence people on the right who disagree with them politically.
You saw a taste of it the way they attacked anyone who wore a Trump cap. Literally assaulting people over an item of clothing. And what is amazing The left thinks that it’s OK
I justified no one, actually. I merely stated that no one is laughing BECAUSE Grandma died.TO: RTJ & Jeff11
So who was attempting to suppress whose speech?
The lady who was allegedly fired was smirking and shaking her head when the student was expressing his concerns about masks. The kid could hear her rudeness because he turned around and looked at her in frustration. Also if you had gone to any effort at all you would have heard a male voice tell the student to shut up. The kid wasn't the malicious one here.
So how can you justify the rudeness of the lady when the kid was the innocent one here? Or was he a leftist plant?

The response at the misinformation that "Grandma died because someone wasn't wearing a mask".
Grandma died because someone exposed her to the virus and she was vulnerable. We actually have no idea how it happened or from whom. So the blame is misplaced and political. No one is laughing at the kid or his loss.
It's still the truth, whether or not someone cares about the distinction. That's nice. The nurse's employer either doesn't believe that, or doesn't care about the distinction.

These claims contradict each other. We obviously DO have an "idea how it happened" - you yourself stated "someone exposed her to the virus". So for sure someone with Covid infected her.Grandma died because someone exposed her to the virus and she was vulnerable. We actually have no idea how it happened or from whom. You are correct. Only the left is into silencing and firing those with disparate views. The middle and the right just say, Ok, pal....whatever you want to believe. Here are some facts....etc.
So all that backlash against Colin Kaepernick was on the left was it?
It created an opening for Cigna to hire someone that isn't going to laugh at people dying needlessly.Im confused as to why there is a movement where everytime someone does something that others dont like, people want them fired. Its not like they cant go get another job…. So why do it??
For me personally, i didnt understand the cigna nurse who got fired for supposedly laughing at that student talking about his grandmother dying. What did her firing achieve??
When you work for someone else, you are employed even when you are off duty. If you bring disgrace to your company, you can expect to be answerable. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from the consequences of your speech. She didnt do it at the workplace, it was at a school board meeting. As to her laughing, it wasnt directed at the death of the kids grandmother, but rather at the kids remark that she died because someone didnt wear a mask. I would have at the very least rolled my eyes at his comments.
But they now have a cleaner house.seems like a lot of work for nothing, to me. That lady will simply become a nurse elsewhere. All they did is inconvenience her.
You must not work in the Southern US. You can be terminated for any or no reason as long as the reason isn't your ethnicity, religion, gender or age.1. what was inappropriate??
2. So this means that anytime anyone does ANYTHING out of societal norms, they should face repercussions??
3. I suppose just letting people have their own thoughts is out of the question. All should follow 1 guideline, even by force if necessary. Thats what you’re saying it sounds like…
For now. But I bet she gets another job quickly, if she hasn't already. The truth is the nurse is still fired.
Yes, she got the virus, and as she was "Grandma", we can make the logical conclusion that she was older and possibly with co-morbidities.These claims contradict each other. Right, so we don't know all the details, but that's a far cry from having "no idea". We actually have a pretty good idea how it happened. We know that it spreads more easily without vaccination and mask-wearing so we have an idea that she more likely contracted the virus from someone was unvaccinated and/or un-masked and/or not considering others' safety by breaking the rules and guidelines in place to prevent the spread of the virus.Yes, she got the virus, and as she was "Grandma", we can make the logical conclusion that she was older and possibly with co-morbidities.
What we cannot conclude is that a non-mask wearer infected her. We just don't know, actually, how that happened. But the kid directly linked the two, which he cannot logically do.
The mask holes are .4 microns and the virus is like .1, much smaller. It's very little protection, if any, in any significant contact.

And it's natural that her family, like her grandson, would be upset about that. And his assumptions that she got it from an unmasked, infected person is not illogical at all; in fact, it's the most likely scenario by which she became infected.
Don't anti-maskers get tired of playing this "WELL THERE'S A CHANCE IT WASN'T AN UNMASKED PERSON WHO SPREAD IT!!!" game???...
