  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm walking on my own now. The nerve pain in my left leg has gotten much better.
My right knee is bothering me, I'm putting Frankencence, BPC 157, heat lineament and DMSO on it.
I'm getting another steroid shot in it February 2nd.
I am still waiting on a decision from disability.
I have applied for a job as a 911 dispatcher but if I continue improving I may be able to go back to my previous job. That would be great.
I will eventually have to get knee replacement. I have to lose another 60 pounds before I can have the surgery, I have lost 40 so far
I need to start working my upper body again, I'm going to try working out with the steel mace this week

I had a physical Tuesday for disability. The nurse said that I wasn’t faking like most people she sees. I’m still trying to get back in the habit of working my upper body with bands. Waiting on a decision from disability and hanging in there.

Wow, didn't know and should scroll-up to see what that transpired from? Well, I retired and low and behold found the best job and management ever. Thought about going back to fully retired several times so the Mrs and I can resume our gym routine, but, the revenue is welcome. Praying sir.

I had nerve pain in my left leg and need a knee replacement on the right. I was sent home from work on September 25th 2024. I had spinal fusion and a laminectomy on December 23rd 2024. I had DVT and a pulmonary embolism two weeks later. I have been going to physical therapy for a year and waiting for a decision on disability for a year.

I worked back Saturday and the next day my arms were really sore. I took Sunday and Monday off because I don’t want to get Rhabdo again. I’m taking Lipitor for high cholesterol and it can cause muscle soreness and Rhabdo.
Today I have an hour of physical therapy and I’m probably going to work chest

Worked chest
Flys superset with DB Bench Press 2 supersets
Krussher. 5 sets
Keeping it simple starting out, I overdid back Saturday

Today is my last day of physical therapy. I have to start doing it on my own. I have a stationary bike and leg weights and I know what to do. I’m working my upper body as well. I have to lose 60 more pounds before I can have knee surgery. That will be a total of 100 pounds lost. I’m taking beet powder, shilijit, Fadogia, fenugreek, minerals and mushrooms. After 4 weeks I will stop the Fadogia and add Turkesterone and Tongkat Ali.

Hi BPPLEE. You said you were bullied when you were in school? I'm sorry about that, I really am.

But you work out now, so all is well with you hopefully? :)

My parents mostly homeschooled my sisters and I. We did go through a program called CAM at a high school where homeschooled kids like us could earn points to help us earn our HS diplomas. It was Battleground High School in Battleground, Washington State. This program was very unique. It was the only time I had ever come across anything like it.

I am wondering why you were bullied but I never was. Is it because I'm a girl and you are a boy? Maybe bullies have reservations about picking on girls, I don't know.

I don't want to sound like I am comparing genders but, I have noticed that a lot of boys are picked on, especially if they are perceived as being too "nerdy." If you wear glasses you can also be a target.

Bullying is always evil and unfair. It is the exact opposite of God's love and kindness. I have always hated bullies. Satan is one of them.

I don't ever remember ever being bullied or receiving any kind of friction when I was in the CAM program. I had one friend at school, we did Art, WA History, and Biology classes together. But I pretty much kept to myself and concentrated on my studies. I wasn't even into boys yet at that age. I had no boyfriends or dates when I was in school. I just wasn't interested yet. Maybe I was too young then?

My school was mostly black, in Selma, Alabama a little over a decade after Bloody Sunday and I was a little white boy.

Continuing to workout and diet. Weight is down from 370 to 325. I plan to be 300 by July 15th, 270 by November and have knee replacement surgery then.
Then after recovery get down to 250 and go back to work at my last job.
Diet is going well but it’s hard to stay motivated to workout.

I am no longer obese, my kidney, and liver are fine. My cholesterol hasn't changed, and I need to start eating healthier and hopefully start exercising. I get several thousand steps per day at work, which apparently isn't enough. sigh

When I went into the 7th grade I was picked on, bullied and beaten up repeatedly. One time they held me down and slammed a door on my head and gave me a concussion.
One day in PE they took us in a room with a Universal Gym and we started lifting weights. I could bench press more than anyone else. I had found my thing.
We had a weight set at home and I started lifting weights doing push ups and jogging.
I didn’t know what I was doing I just worked until I couldn’t do any more.
The next summer I flew to Georgia to visit relatives and when I came through the airport there was Arnold Schwarzenegger’book. I got it and started buying magazines and discovered Mike Mentzer’s high intensity training.
By the 9th grade I was a different person. The second week of school someone started a fight with me and I hit him so hard that his eye swelled shut.
After that I was popular. That’s what every kid wants.
The rest of my life I continued working out.
I never competed but I got pretty strong for someone who didn’t take steroids. My best lifts were
Bench Press 405 x 5
Squats 405 x 10, 315 x 20
Dumbbell Curls 80 x 10
Leg Press 1000 x 10
One Arm Row 120 x 20
Lifting weights helped me in my career in law enforcement and security.
6 years ago I remarried and moved 70 miles from where I worked. I started driving 2 and 1/2 hours every day. There was nowhere to put my equipment so I sold it.
I quit working out and I gained 100 pounds. I didn’t workout for 6 years.
3 months ago I started working out and again. I’ve lost 40 pounds and I am trying to lose another 40 by December.
I started with DDP Yoga because there is a program for beginners that are completely out of shape and have limited mobility.
I also started working out with the X3 Bar Band System, the Total Gym and dumbbells.
My strength has improved substantially in 3 months.
I had to tussle with someone at work last week and working out has made a big difference.
If you’re out of shape and need a program for beginners DDP Yoga is perfect.
If you don’t have a lot of room the X3 Band System stores neatly in a duffel bag when you’re done working out.
I’m trying to stay in shape so that I can keep working into my 70s
Good for you and your resolve to get back in shape.

I find taking long walks, sometimes at a quick pace,is a great break in the usual weights routine.

Always stretch well before any workout of course.

Congratulations as you work toward Decembers goal
Proud of you.

Cold stretching can cause problems. Stretch after warming up.

For me, I find Yin Yoga beneficial for plasticity and especially in helping with chronic pain.Every body is unique. It takes time to find our niche.

May God bless you on your journey.
