I often ask myself why it is that people get so hot under the collar when others celebrate the sabbath. I mean what does it have to do with them anyway? If the anti-Sabbath keepers focussed more on their own spiritual life than casting stones at Sabbath keepers I am sure they would get much more benefit from it.

So if you don't celebrate it, get over it. There is no reason to debate something which does not effect you.

I think it is more the Sabbath keepers that will question the non Sabbath keeper on here that causes all the debate. They know all scriptures in the bible points of Jesus keeping the Sabbath, Paul keeping it even after Jesus death and all examples they give in the NT shows everything was being done on the Sabbath, out side of 2 examples where the 1st day of the week is mentioned.

So they know they can question away at Sunday worshipers and know they can not respond to them with scriptures and to why they keep Sunday instead of Saturday. It is a debate that will go on until Jesus returns.

Who is it that gets hot because others worship on Saturday? I think you're bringing up a nonexistent persecution issue. I think if the pro Sabbath people didn't start most of the threads it wouldn't even be noticed. Just check out the comments on the pro law side of the fence to see who is persecuting who. Where do the pro grace people condemn anyone for keeping the Sabbath? Who among the pro grace people demand others worship on Sunday?

Who needs to get over what?

Really??? Are we angry because someone keeps the Sabbath? That's just not true and you know it Steve. Who is accusing and condemning others for breaking God's law? They keep making false statements about what the bible teach. They never dwell on our questions or our side of the story. This Forum is all about discussing doctrines....and you know it.

What makes me wonder is how, after all that Jesus did for us, anyone could possibly not want to live by His law. He didn't ask much...but He did say that, if we love Him, we will keep His commands. He told us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light...but for some reason people seem to think that there is no yoke and no burden.
He even specifically told us that He had not come to destroy the law:

Mat 5:17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teachthem, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceedthe righteousnessof the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Where does this idea come from, that Christians have no need to keep the law? It certainly did not come from Jesus Christ.
If anyone ought to know what Christians should or should not do, I should think He would.

Please, dear brothers and sisters, notice that 19th verse once more:

Mat 5:19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
