From the posters on this thread? Not much. There are a lot of them just trapped inside a book and the interpretation that they have created for it.

From "Paul"? Nothing. I had no expectations from the writings of Paul. I knew he wrote some of those letters that were quoted each Sunday at mass, but I never tried reading any of them.

Paul was definitely not an author that I would have used the phrase "his writing speaks to me", but even if it had: THAT IS NOT A CONVERSATION OR RELATIONSHIP. (That's for "them" not you, Estrid.) There are no relationships with the dead.

Relationships are two-way. In no way did I feel there was some sort of reciprocal response from God when I communicated with him.

If Paul did think he spoke to God, that doesn't demonstrate that there is one, or isn't one.

Bringing it back to regular, modern Christians...

Do you think God has spoken directly to you (not some vague sign or ancient text)?

I don't have anyone from my personal life who would admit to getting direct communications from God. (I've said this before.) And here I speak of those that believe.
