This is what a person claiming to be an ex-Christian sounds like:

Johnny goes to the amusement park and rides the rides: roller coaster, tilt-a-whirl, water rides, you name it.

He has the time of his life, enjoying every minute of it.

But at the end of the day, he's had enough and is ready to go home.

At home, dad asks Johnny how he enjoyed it.

"Enjoyed what," Johnny asks.
And that is pretty much the exact opposite of what an ex christian sounds like.

Try this instead.
REAL PERSON. Taught from early childhood that Jesus is the one and only son of a god named God. Has no other reference point.
Believes what he is taught, because he has no other reference point.
REAL PERSON grows up, and begins to notice problems with the stories he was told. Sees the flaws in the reasoning he has been raised to accept without question.
Starts to doubt.
Seeks answers that will, he hopes, alleviate his doubt.
Gets fed a lot of excuses instead.
Finally accepts that he has been lied to all his life.

Paul warned you about that.

Question:

In inkblot tests, how are psychiatrists trained to score people who consistently see Christian symbols?

Answer: "abnormal"
Not true.

Magpies are hateful birds. They don't come from southern Mesopotamia (or Babylon) though .. :(
Not so. We have had a family of them in the woods behind our house for years. They always seem a joyous crew.

Always.
But that's a whole other topic.
Warned about Hell, but not evolution leading to atheism.

Hmmm.

Perhaps Romans 1 isn't in any of your King James Bibles on your bookshelf?

Maybe because evolution does not lead to atheism.

Muuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Its in the one and only King James bible on my west bookshelf.
And it says nothing about evolution, at all. Not a word.
Nothing about genetic recombination, or variation.
Nothing about ERVs, or blood groups, or haplotypes.
Its almost as though the people who wrote it, knew nothing about evolution.

And let me guess:

Nothing about atheism either? children in the womb? miracles?

Nothing about atheism. Its a rant against people questioning the author. A badly composed rant

No. I never met Christ. And neither did you.

A Christian who never had a relationship with Christ, there’s no such thing. As I stated before you have no experience on this subject.

There are millions of Christians that would disagree with your narrow (and to my experience -- odd) view.

"Relationship with Christ/Jesus" sounded like that touchy-feely "Hippie-dippy" that paired with "Jesus is love, man" and guitar music in church.

Relationships are two-way. In no way did I feel there was some sort of reciprocal response from God when I communicated with him.

Did Paul?
  1. If you say YES, then why are you an atheist?
  2. If you say NO, then why would you expect God to communicate with you?

Did Paul communicate with me? I guess he wrote some stuff, but he didn't know about me specifically. (He was also very very dead.) Your question makes no sense.

I came to the conclusion of number 2 before I came to Christ when I was asking myself why doesn’t God give me blessings? They began flowing in abundance after I came to Christ. PTL!!
