Is that what you're alluding to?
Yes and 1,000 years from David to Jesus. They say that Adam lived 930 years because he gave 70 years to David.
Mine is that time in Genesis is a literal 24-hour period, established as one rotation of the earth on its axis.
From the Earth or from the Sun? A day is 23 hours 56 minutes and about 4 seconds. The Bible talks about a perfect day and I think there will be a perfect 24 hour day at some point in time. Proverbs 4:18 "But the path of the just is like shining light, that grows in brilliance till perfect day." The Bible is always literal first and then symbolic. Although Moses uses the word Riddles. Numbers 12:8 "With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD."

Adam must have wore Him out because He had to take a day of rest before He could make Eve.
That would be funny if it was true, but the fact of the matter is that Eve was created on the same day Adam was.

If I remember correctly, the Millennium Sabbath theory teaches that God created the universe in six days, indicative of one-thousand year periods, and that it was 2000 years from Adam to Abraham, 2000 years from Abraham to Jesus, and 2000 years to the beginning of the Millennium, which will last 1000 years and complete the template set in Genesis.

The universe? Not in six days... Six days only involved what graces the surface of this earth at present. The sun moon and stars already existed. The Hebrew does not say God created them when they were mentioned. Its says that he "made" them to bear light. God in essence turned on the light switch and activated what had already been created in Genesis 1:1. Until day four God was providing the light of day, not the sun.

God created the heavens and earth - the universe - before Day One took place!

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

Day one only comes into being after God created of the heavens and earth...

Why do we keep getting into arguments over what should have been resolved long ago?

In Christ .......

See Post 31.

Their souls (male and female) were created [bara] in the same instant in Genesis 1:27. Created 'out from nothing."
The bodies for those souls came later.

Our bodies were not created in His image. Our souls were.

Our present bodies have been crucified with Christ! He saves our soul which was created in His image.

grace and peace ..........

Eve's body was created from Adam's rib.

This is documented in Genesis 2, making Genesis 2 a framework story.

When the 6th day of creation ended, Adam and Eve were alive and well on Planet Earth.

The man in Genesis chapter one was given dominion over all of the earth. We still have that today. In Genesis chapter two Adam and Eve were given the Garden of Eden to take care of. We know that Adam's body came from the soil in Eden. Bruce Feiler talks about this in his book: "Walking the Bible". (Gensis 3:19)

That's true.

But I don't need a book by Bruce Feiler to tell me that.

The Bible says it.

Science confirms that the bone marrow is the only place God could have gotten the DNA to make Eve.
Science can keep its mouth shut about Adam & Eve.

Genesis 1 describes how God created the heavens and the earth, "and it was good." This statement is repeated multiple times in Genesis 1.

I've heard from many people (including myself) who believe that Creation, at the beginning, was perfect. Everything was good, and there was nothing bad about it.

And I've believed this for a very long time, until I got into a lengthy discussion with someone, and read more closely in Genesis 2... "God saw that it was not good for the man to be alone." But God created everything so far, and "it was good". Here it says that "it was not good." How do you reconcile these two passages?

Does God declare man "good" in Gen 1? He says a lot of things were good, and all of creation was good, but what about man himself, in Gen 1?

Eve's body was created from Adam's rib.

This is documented in Genesis 2, making Genesis 2 a framework story.

When the 6th day of creation ended, Adam and Eve were alive and well on Planet Earth.

If we are going to grow and mature in Christ? We all need to learn the meaning of the Hebrew words.

You may not desire to? Do you find it insulting to learn that you did not know something and someone else does?

Just the same...

Her body in Genesis 2 was NOT 'bara.' That does not say "created" in the Hebrew. Only in Genesis 1:27, Bara means to create something out from nothing. Only God can do that. Her soul was created by God in Genesis 1:27. Her female soul was in need of a body, which was to follow.

What took place in Genesis 1:27?

It was God -bara- creating out from nothing. Creating something that was created before the bodies were provided in Genesis 2.

Genesis 2?

No mention of bara. Matter of fact Genesis 2 begins by telling us that God rested from doing any more 'bara.'
So, at that point she could not be created as you claimed.

Now, the body for her soul? That was not created Instead, the Hebrew says, 'banah.'

Banah means to build (up) something. The Hebrew in Genesis 2 says her body was 'built.' It does not say created.

Christians need to learn the differences. Its not difficult to learn this.

"Created" = bara as read in Gen 1:27. Bara means that God created something out from nothing.

That can not apply to her body which we know began with something.

Her body that was built up (banah) from what was taken from Adam's side. Much like Jesus taking a few loaves and fishes and built up much more from what he started with, like Eve's body, which he started with some bone and flesh.

Its a shame that this does not seem to interest you. I hope I am wrong about that perception.

In Christ.

Its a shame that this does not interest you. That you throw it out like its trash.
You're quite wrong, my friend.

I'm second to none in believing that God ceased from creating EX NIHILO, but has indeed created EX MATERIA in other instances.

Such as when He fed the widow of Zarephath in the Old Testament; and the 5000 in the New Testament.

And I don't need to speak in tongues to show it.

It's right there in English.

Now -- with that in mind -- let's get back to Adam & Eve in Genesis 1.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed
them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Let me paraphrase for clarity:

Genesis 1:27 So God created [Adam] in his own image, in the image of God created he [Adam]; male and female created he [Adam and Eve].
28 And God blessed
[Adam and Eve], and God said unto [Adam and Eve], Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Then we get to Genesis 2, where God says ...

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

That is, He ceased from creating EX NIHILO at the end of the sixth day.

The level of mass/energy in the universe started out at zero, God raised it to its current level over a six-day period by a series of miracles, then He ceased from all his work.

Now starts the framework story -- the story within the story -- and we go back into Genesis 1, where Adam is alone, and we see God creating a garden to the eastern section of this giant landmass, placing Adam into it, creating Eve from Adam's rib, and marrying them.

All in English.

And it's an equal shame that you have to trash such a beautiful language as Jacobean English with that junk out of Wrong's Concordance.

It is best to look at the verse were a word is first used.
Actually I referred to this here
I would go with the foundational meaning from Genesis 2
Genesis 6:5 "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." We see that evil involved the imagination and it also involves the eyes. This is what the r & a represent in the Hebrew. Imagination, thoughts & heart are three word, but they pretty much represent the same thing. What our eyes see and our heart desires grabs a hold of us. This is why we are to have a pure heart before God. He gives us the desires of our heart, so we should have good, pure desires. Wickedness is rā-‘aṯ, Evil is ra‘

I shouldn't have assumed everyone knew what I was talking about, here is the reference.

Genesis 2:8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.
9 And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

And then it was lost. The one it was lost to offered it to Jesus in the wilderness. For a price.
Science confirms that the bone marrow is the only place God could have gotten the DNA to make Eve.
And ribs are bones. It took us thousands of years to figure that one out.

Yes, as in building up a family which happens from combining seed. In Adams case it would have to be taken from him alone. We see the opposite of this when Jesus was conceived.

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

I don't see that as nothing, it was made from the previously made earth from Gen 1:1

Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Sure, no dispute on the verse. But throughout Gen 1, God specifies each day that he saw each thing "good," but when it came to day 6, that refrain doesn't occur. When it came to light and dark, land and sea, vegetation, and animal, they were all "good," but when it came to man, that phrase was missing. That's my only point.

But it does, he says it was 'Very Good' showing that of all creation Adam (mankind) was the star.
