From the "Withdrawing the 'guilty plea', changes the game", files: “Friday Next Week Is going to be Phenomenal. It’s Going to Be EPIC!” – General Flynn’s Attorney Sidney Powell Promises Big News This Friday!

Friday’s filing by Powell should be something. She already had a list of documents that no one knew even existed. She had the phone ID’s for Joseph Mifsud’s phones. She knew Mifsud was with Halper at the event that Flynn attended in 2015. Powell knows more than we know.

In a brief order Friday, Judge Sullivan said Flynn's lawyers should file legal briefs addressing whether the court should hold a hearing "where the parties would present all testimony and evidence concerning the issue of whether Mr. Flynn can show that there is good cause to set aside his guilty pleas."

Such a hearing, the judge said, might include "testimony from Mr. Flynn and other witnesses under oath, subject to cross-examination, to show any 'fair and just reason' for this court to grant his motion to withdraw."

The judge's order cited a 1995 ruling by the D.C. Court of Appeals that set a very high bar for withdrawing a plea. In that case, the appeals court said a defendant "must show either an error in the taking of his plea or some 'more substantial' reason he failed to press his case rather than plead guilty."

So ... assuming Flynn offers a compelling reason, then the government is forced to show contradictory evidence that he lied, evidence that Flynn's attorney has repeatedly attempted to extract and that the government has repeatedly refused to provide.

We'll soon see where this leads.

OK, what did I miss?? Please help me understand what any of these have to do with General Flynn's attorney withdrawing the guilty plea? Is there an issue with his attorney mentioning next Friday?? What is so important that 12 of 16 post mention this?
The OP has a habit of declaring bombshell revelations some day in the future, usually "next Wednesday". This time the day changed from next Wednesday to next Friday. Each Wednesday after the announcement we wait for the revelation to be revealed - but it never is.

From the perspective of the posting date, this "next Friday" should have been the 24th - but I didn't see any phenomenal epic announcement. Did you?

Any thought on the topic of the thread?

Post #2 describes what happened on Friday. Didn't seem like big news. But Flynn may have to testify under oath about why he should be allowed to withdraw his freely given plea. The legal precedents require a very good reason to do so.
