Benny thinks quite a lot of himself. A curse? He knows the Word, God's curses were serious. Entire generations were affected by curses.

What kind of person does this? It's a very sad reflection and he is on tv and out there as a symbol of what non believers think of Christianity.

He does have power from somewhere. That's true.

I haven't heard that he repented of that.

But here's a dialogue Benny Hinn had with Paul Crouch about the incident that shows that he was not repentant even after he had time to think about it:

Benny Hinn: In that service [Denver, Colorado] the Lord had me place blessings and cursing - you remember that.

Paul Crouch: I was there.

Benny Hinn: You know, these kinds of things I just don't like to do. I frankly don't enjoy hearing anybody do it. But Paul, there are people who want to destroy ministries, who would love to destroy TBN, destroy our ministry, destroy any ministry and every ministry they can.....We had certain people at one time after our ministry who would harass us and do all kinds of crazy things - went on for probably a year and a half - I was preaching in South Africa one day and Fred Roberts, who's an apostle said, "Why don't you speak judgment?" he said. I said "What are you talking about?" He said, "You are entitled now - because they blasphemed the Holy Spirit - to tell God what you want to see done."

Paul Crouch: Because they were attributing your works to the devil.

Benny Hinn: To the devil, exactly.

Paul Crouch: Just like they did Jesus.

Why was that statement wrong, if someone is harassing me I can pray and ask the Lord to stop them.... I don't want to get into an argument about Hinn, I think way too many of these celebrity preachers bring condemnation on themselves by believing their own hype. In doing that they bring condemnation on the Lord's church too. That said, the Lord can defend Himself. The Lord does not remove the gifts given them but He will certainly put them in a place of humility. Not my call. David, Solomon, and many others experienced God's judgment while He was still blessing them... its a good thing we're not God. Doubtful they'd obtain the same mercy from us.

Do you think calling down curses on Christians is not wrongdoing?

Do you have wrongdoing in your life?

Are there things you need to repent of?

YOUR business is to get right with the LORD and pray for others to get right with the LORD.

It's NOT your business to speak against anyone.

If you see something you think is not right, pray to the LORD for that person.

Don't speak against them.

"When they persisted with their question, He raised Himself up and said, Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone." - John 8:7 AMP

I KNOW you have stuff to repent of because we all do.

I also know Benny Hinn is no worse than you or me.

"Brethren, if any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual [who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit] should set him right and restore and reinstate him, without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also." - Galatians 6:1

Which one are you doing?

Throwing stones or seeking to restore someone?

The Word tells us we are to pray for those who persecute us. We are to forgive them. Pray for them and then we are to leave vengeance to the Lord.

I do not think that Benny acted biblically.

Also, in Phillipians the apostle Paul was followed by a demon possessed person for days and days. She went everywhere he was trying to minister and she had a real demon in her disrupting things. Eventually, Paul cast out the demon and freed her, which btw got him put in jail.

Hi Andrea,

Hinn's statement is wrong because he's talking about this statement:

Benny Hinn: Yes, Lord, I'll do it. I place a curse on every man and every woman that will stretch his hand against this anointing. I curse that man who dares to speak a word against this ministry.

There's nothing wrong with asking God to stop something, there's everything wrong with calling down curses on Christians.

Here's something the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY said:

"I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you." - Genesis 12:3

I don't know what was going on in Benny's ministry, but he it sounds like he was quoting this scripture promise.

This is one reason why ALL of us should stop using insolent language and attacking others.

Come on guys. Do as the LORD tells us to do.

Let go of bitterness, anger, hatred, judgement, unforgiveness, etc.

Walk in forgiveness and love.

Pray for people you think are wrong.

"I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. 35 By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]." - John 13:34-35

If I was being cursed and spoken evil about, I would take Genesis 12:3 as a PROMISE that the LORD would take care of my attackers.

Then I would pray for them and bless them.

I'm not sure what Benny did, but I will sure pray for him to be blessed and protected from his attackers.

I'm praying for you people too to repent of speaking against others.

Your life would be transformed by walking the love walk.

You can't walk in love AND anger, bitterness, hatred, judgement, etc.

You have to choose which lifestyle you want.

The things Benny is accused of is FALSE.

That's what I meant by he's done nothing wrong.

The internet is full of nonsense about Benny.

He's innocent of THAT stuff.

We all have stuff we need to repent of.

Benny's not worse than you.

My guess is that Benny may be better than you, because the LORD is using him in a much more powerful way in the body of CHRIST than HE'S using you.

YOU still need to walk the love walk.

His life is the LORD'S business, as is your life.

Draw near to the LORD and get YOUR life straightened out.

Leave Benny to the LORD.

The LORD loves him just as much as HE loves you.

You sound confused to me.

As for Benny Hinn, you say you are not sure what he did, but we know what he did. He prayed for curses on those who were critical of him, and then at a later date he agreed with Paul Crouch that he was right to curse those Christians.

Unlike you, Hinn only believes in cursing his opposition. Hinn blessed those who supported him, and cursed those who opposed him.

One of the most damaging traits in any believer's life -- whether they be from a small group or travel the world -- is ambition. Believers, who are driven by it, normally don't know it, can't see it in themselves, even as they are driven by it. They must discover, sometimes by the hardest means, to repent of AMBITION. This spiritual disease has been around since the first days of man's existence.

Here's an early example:

Genesis 11:4
4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

And yet, we are told:
Psalm 127:1
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain."

Many other examples within Scripture show this terrible trait among God's people. It takes over all of these one man shows. Please look over these verses as well:

Jer. 45:5, "And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not:"

Acts 8:9, "9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one..."

1 Kings 1:5, "Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him."

Isaiah 14:12-14, "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High", or, as we hear today, like little gods.

Even the disciples were guilty of ambition which showed by their refusal to accept others into their ministerial clique.

Luke 9:46-50, "Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest. 47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him, 48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. 49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. 50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us."

Luke 22:24, "And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest."

The counter examples that we should all memorize and meditate upon include:
John -- John 1:23 and John 3:30, "He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias."

Timothy -- Philippians 2:19-22, "But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. 20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. 21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
22 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel."

Paul -- I Cor. 3:5, I Cor. 15:9, II Cor. 12:15, "Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?"

"Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness," we are told in Prov. 20:6. Verses that confirm this include:

Luke 16:12, "And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?"

How often we've seen this take place, where men call themselves what they will without ever having been faithful in the least. There is a pattern whereby men rise to serve the body, and this is it, to be faithful first with the least and gradually move up as the Lord gives the increase, and not toward more of these one man shows, but to serve where the person lives and fellowships as just another member of the body of Christ.

I Cor. 10:24, 33, " Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth."

Do you want to be great? Then seek prosperity for those within your small group of believers with whom you meet, not big named personalities.

Isa. 56:12, "Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant."

A believer must be willing not just once, but every day to "fetch," to serve, to give of himself, not merely one time and he/she suddenly awakens to stardom, which is nothing more than blatant ambition.

We're told to "look not every man on his own things" in Phil 2:3-4.

Examples of this include Gal. 5:26 and Romans 15:1-2, "Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." and again, "We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification."

Benny wasn't calling down curses on Christians.

He was speaking one of the LORD'S promises about his attackers.

If you aren't one of Benny's attackers, you have nothing to worry about.

The LORD made it clear ONLY people who curse others will be cursed by the LORD.

Stop cursing, speaking evil against, Christians, and you will be safe from any curses, because:

"An undeserved curse does not go forth." - Proverbs 26:2 LEB

IOW, walk the love walk, and you have nothing to worry about.

Did you read the transcript of Hinn's own words?

How can a person misunderstand someone's own words when they are consistent itch other words spoken by the same person?

Where must someone's heart be when they share words over and over of curses?

His necrophilia is also more than seriously disturbing. Maybe read more and come back.
