For I have been HIDDEN by Christ in God before time begain. Your doctrine is mot, God is bigger. I will fellowship with my Lord anyway He leads me, thank you very much. Even though dead to the world we still are admonished to by an act of the will seek the things above and set our affections on them.

BretherninChrist, Trish1947 Amen. God is dealing with me on this thing of free will. Today He ask me if I wanted to kill a tree do I cut it done or kill the root? I said kill the root! He said the root of Adam sin was his WILL! Adam willfully ate, that act was the root of all sin. Jesus willfully gave up His will, "not mine but your be done". Adam had the choice and pick wrong. Therefore before the foundation of the world Jesus took our will into His being as sin. So that I could be set free to move in the WILL OF THE FATHER AT ALL TIMES. This is a overpowing statement. If true the war is over!

By the GRACE of God I have been Giving A SWORD and If my Master calls upon me and blesses me to a reward, by His grace, I will kill the enemy brought before me by His will for the glory of His son. Thus with this mind set fulfilling Eph. 4-6 "one God and Father of all who is over all and through all in all."

So his grace cause you to swing the sword?? You have no control over yourself at all???

Regarding your oft-quoted Eph 4:6, can we look at the entire concept?

Verse 1, Paul urges "you to walk in a manner worth of the calling." Why the urging if there is no other choice? It must be that we CAN chose to NOT walk that way. This is Logic 101.

Verse 17 "you must no longer walk as the Gentile do". Again, why the admonishment unless there is the possiblity to do otherwise? If all is out of our hands, why even have the NT at all? Won't God just take control of us and lead us?

Please, enoch son, try to use the reasoning God has given you. There is no argument that God is sovereign over all, and in all. And in His sovereignty, He has chosen to give us the opportunity to voluntarily follow Him or not. This is pure love. Even you mentioned Jesus in the garden. He voluntarily, of His choice, gave up His will to the Father, which is, indeed our model. We should, too, give up our will to His, but it is our free-will choice to do so!

Great verse just had to add some depth that I have learned recently which really has help me defend my self so I do not feel so frustrated with the three headed attack

Well not exactly i can think of one at least in Psalm 149:6-8..

One of the greatest devices of the devil is for you to get pre occupied what your mind tells you about yourself. He does not want you to realize who you already are in Christ, what you have already received, what Jesus has already done, It's a done deal on His part. There is no more salvation coming. If you ever get it down and settled in your heart who you are to Him. What He has made of you, who you are to Him. This battle will go on continuously. But when you do get it settled in your Heart, look out, he has a handful to deal with, by bothering you. Always look at yourself how God says he sees you. You cannot look at yourself as you see you. That dont work. It throws you into condemnation. Yes we're to check our flesh and find where we are standing. But never do that to yourself spiritually. We have been given weapons to use. Now you have the free will to let him beat you up, or you can believe God. And by all means dont get in any hurry to be perfected. Sometimes we get it wrong on where you think the Lord should be working on you, and come to find out, it was in a totally different area of your life he was interested in. But let Him do the work.

Correction brother! it was adams making the wrong choice, not the fact that he had a choice to make.

Paul who wrote almost half the books of the nt and recieved the gospel by revelation wrote in phillipians 3:13-14 that he did not think he had "arrived" but one thing he did was use his free will to press toward the mark.. Study the word press it defenitely involves an act of the will.. Amazing we have somehow surpassed even the writers of the bible...


trish yes all we ever recieve of salvation was done on the cross when he said it was finished..salvation-deliverance is not only present but most certainly futuristic.. One day the trump shall sound and the fullness of our deliverance will be revealed.

As paul said he counted himself not to have apprehended of that which was already accomplished at calvary...
