Scientists have been thinking about "this information thing" since 1948 when Information Theory was first presented and have long since concluded that information poses no problem for evolutionary theory. They already know "where information comes from."

Since creationists have both made their own fake peer review, and sometimes rely on the vanity press the bar has the be set a little bit higher. One must find an article in a well respected professional peer reviewed journal. That will s still quite low. Thousands of scientific articles are published every year and yet ID supporters can't seem to be among those scientists.

Some creationists are very closed minded and can even believe the earth is only 6,000 years old.

I listened to it but there was no definition of information, only vague claims of information. There was no definition of information as creationists try to claim exists.

I saw a link that looked like it led to fake peer review. Were any of them published in a well respected peer reviewed professional journal? Or were they fake peer reviews set up by creationists since there work is so shoddy that they can't pass real peer review?

Which is fine. I wonder how many of your creationist colleagues will allow science to tell them "how." The whole point of creationism seems to be that the Bible tells us "how" and science is wrong about it, no?

I'm not sure that it is even possible to write a valid scientific paper about biblical creationism. Certainly I have never seen one.

Adam and Eve is an allegory or analogy or parable...that could be debated. Maybe it's a little bit of everything.

There must have been a first man and a first woman but I doubt their names were Adam and Eve. Snakes represented evil. Sin had to enter the world somehow...

But you must surely agree, just from reading where the theme of good vs evil is one of the top themes, that evil and good DO exist. How to explain them?

I do believe in God...and I do believe in an evil force which is satan...more than a force I should say...I believe in an actual satan.

Rats, I do not have a VPN, but there are times when I have wanted to watch a YouTube video that could be seen in England and cannot be seen in the U.S. due to copyright concerns and I thought it might have come in handy. I guess it sill would not help in this case.

First of all the other member says he doesn't speak English as a first language so I doubt he knows what moving the goal post means since I hardly understand it myself but have only an idea.

Second of all how does one "trick" a knowledgeable scientist?

A person of knowledge cannot be tricked.

He's just talking....and "such as" is an example...and there COULD be more examples.
We say "such as" so that we don't have to list each and every example....

Might I suggest that, if your English is not the best, you stop responding to posts and conversations you do not understand?

Don't give up so easily.

Keep in mind that this discussion is not about the existence of God. Some of us "evolutionists" believe in God and some don't, but that's not the real issue.

The other thing to keep in mind is that ID is not merely the general notion that God created (or "designed") the universe in some way, but a much more specific proposal. So that if I assert that ID is stupid and wrong, it does not mean that I deny God's authorship of our existence.
