Hehe well your arguement may have some standing because there is a fine line between some goth and emo.

NOTHING is too much to ask. As servants of God, we have the ability to do anything because through God, anything is possible. So, we will pray. And even though you are angry with God, I will only say that it is not god who did what happened to you. Satan is in love with your anger and pain and does whatever he can to hurt you. You're right about that. I may not dress like it any more and I certainly don't listen to new goth music (but old Sisters of Mercy and BauHaus are in heavy rotation on my iPod), but I'm still goth. Oh, and yes, it's possible to be Christian and goth.

I hope you've found some peace now american hardcore, it seems like you could use some. Congratulations on becoming a Christian! As an agnostic I don't know which paths are the 'right' ones, but if you search for truth in all honesty I don't feel you can go too far wrong.

I do know Christian Goths (although not many). That's perfectly possible. Christian goth music is although quite impossible.
BtW, Should I send you some new(er) band names which come close to your style.

Have you heard Judean Radiostatic? They're more industrial, but they're good and they are Christian.

Sure, PM me some good newer Goth. I kinda got out of goth scene when I had a roommate that sang for a ska band. She got me totally into ska. When I came back to the scene, all the "kids" were into Marilyn Manson and it wasn't the same. I've hung on to the old music, but haven't really gotten into any new stuff.

I've never heard of Judean Radiostatic, but industrial is indeed something else. I've never seen them on playlists, but I'll check them out. I know the 69 eyes is a christian gothic band, but they don't tend to sing christian lyrics.
Since I believe gothic does tend to shift to more darker themes, a Christian repertoire simply doesn't cover the essence.
But that's another debate.

I used to consider myself a goth - bauhaus, yeahh..... but at a certain point in my Christian walk, the Lord impressed upon me that I needed to stop listening to that stuff and stop wearing black all the time - both were very difficult for me, but I made it out.... After all of that, I now can say that I personally agree with "Lucy" in his assertion that Goth music is at the core of its message too dark to be considered Christian.

This scripture seems to me to apply:

Im worried that shearing ANYthing thats personal here will only encourge christians here to "pray for me". but this will only drive me further away from you god. I hate god And I can personaly NEVER forgive him nor will I EVER accept christ. SO im worried that this forum will not be helpful when it comes to my own personal problems. even though i was sent here under a mods advice...Im unsure what to do. I wanna cry out for help but not in a room full of lions. get my metaphore.

Why would this bother you if you don't believe in God?

Just like it wouldn't bother me if someone told me they were going to put a death curse on me. Because I don't believe in curses I would have nothing to worry about.

So, if you fear something, like in your case prayer, then you obviously believe in it enough to fear it. Just a thought.
