Relative to the overall right inclination of the US political spectrum I would be on the far left. In my country your left is my right.

Grammatically I am to the right of Genghis Khan - It's "political bent" not "political bend".

I put "right moderate". It seems to depend on the issue. I don't like either the Democrats or the Republicans today. Vermin Supreme is my candidate

I'm left leaning with regards to a lot of social and economic issues but still regard myself as a strict constructionist and pro-life. Men like Obama and Clinton I regard as great Presidents while I have grave reservations regarding the GOP national agenda.

I tend to err towards freedom over authority, and correct moral choices over libertinism.
That is to say that a people can only experience freedom to the extent that they are capable of making good moral choices. Freedom does not include freedom to sin. This is because sin enslaves.

Morality can be described as adhering to behaviors that both lessen suffering, and create conditions in which people can thrive. Free markets have a better track record in creating such conditions, so therefore I err to the right on these economic questions. The more that one cares about the welfare of people in a society, the more that one must insist on free markets over socialism in order to create such conditions. Socialism inevitably fails and every time it does fail, it creates huge amounts of suffering.
