Jesus was beyond being merely liberal --- he was radical! He challenged the accepted conventions and beliefs of his time. He went to the Temple and observed the money changers at work. Do you think these were "lefties" who just walked in and set up shop to cheat the people? No, they had to seek the permission of the very conservative establishment (High Priest and his circle of Sadducees) who took their cut of the take. There is absolutely no way that this could be spun as Jesus/right and MoneyChangers/left --- it was precisely the reverse.

Oh it is such a temptation to take sides. To get caught up supporting the guys
with the white hats over the guys with the black hats.
But in the eyes of God they are all worldly and self serving.

Salvation is in being consecrated and set apart from the world to serve the
living God.
The world and all its politics belong to Satan. That is why governments and
societies are in such a mess (and just so opposed to the righteousness of God).
Truly the last of last days are upon us.

For someone so far removed from politics, and concerning yourself only with spiritual matters, and trying to make the impression of being above the frey of such trivial and non-essential topics, you sure do spend a lot of time and energy in the politics section....

The authoritarian, right wing, fascists were Hitler, Franco and Mussolini.
The authoritarian, left wing, communist was Stalin.

On the political compass? Yeah, sort of. Far left will give you various sorts of anarchism and communism, top left being "Stalin did nothing wrong" and bottom left being "smash the state and also coffee shop windows". I think fascism is actually a little closer to the center, but at the top of the authoritarian scale.

I didn't notice that as much as I noticed the loaded questions in the survey, starting with the very first question.

That's pretty much how it should be. Left/right is loosely a measure of "tolerance for hierarchy". On the far left you have people who will tear down hierarchy at all costs, philosophies like anarchy (abolish archons/rulers) and communism (classless, common ownership). On the far right is support for extreme hierarchies like monarchy (divine right to rule) and fascism (rights of superior peoples, highly stratified society). This happens to be why in most democracies generally the underprivileged vote for the left and the privileged vote for the right.
