it's no pipe dream , all Christians are one , they may not realise it , they may have opinions that differ , but in essence , one faith one lord one baptism.

scripture calls Christians to strive to maintain , not obtain this unity in Christ.

I really do wish I could believe this. I seem to see Christians separating themselves by the method of "true Christians" and not "true Christians". I have even see it in this thread, Christians blaming all of this on the not "true Christians".

Erwin I would bet got a PM box full of this every time he came here. I would get sick of it all too. If the dream was to unite, it clearly isn't working.

Think about how the uniting is happening?
You are all complaining of the name change.

Real unity there. It is that whole the enemy of our enemy is our friend. That never lasts.

We need to start seeing everyone as people not as our group and their group. Then we can start strides to unity. Not just crying about some common enemy (name change).
let me qorrect you, a] we are not complaining but are showing our disagreement b] the deal is not just plain name change, and you will not understand , so dont bother trying, unless you become a christian and learn the thing that is called challenge

There is always going to be varying opinions of people. And there is always going to be disagreements. God reveals different things to different people. He leads people in different directions according to where He has placed them in the Body. But what does unite us one to another is Jesus Christ. That is one thing we all agree on, Jesus died for our sins. If you are looking for perfect harmony you'll have to wait until the Lord returns. And everytime we unite for one cause it makes us stronger and closer to our brother. Because we see what is possible when we unite.

sorry to disappoint , but we do not separate CHRISTIANS into true and not true. we find LIARS and disclose them!

and I will repeat again, it is practically impossible for you to understand.

Christianity is not a religion, it is a state of mind, a faith, knowledge of truth and blood in our veins.

The true believer in Christ KNOWS He is real. A true believer in christ will see the other like him

I, for one, am glad that the faith fora was moved back up top. That bothered me much more than the name change. It felt as though Christ had been pushed down to the "bottom of the heap".

The name change bothered me very much at first yesterday, when I first logged on. After a day of thought (it was very hard not to post out of emotion, but I managed), I realized that I had taken a long break over a year ago, just coming back recently, because the Christian "behavior" here had long before dissapated. So, If I am to be honest with myself, it really wasn't a stretch taking Christianity out of the name.

I am not saying there aren't many that exhibit Christian behavior, because there are many, too many to count. Unfortunately, the ones that weren't displaying that were the most vocal, and they were the most demanding. So I left. I have only come back recently, and I will try to remain quiet, speaking only to those I already know, watching which direction this takes.

It is only fair, IMO, to see if the "new" CF takes the path I fear it will. Everybody sniping at each other over this change isn't going to help. Perhaps taking the Christian out of the title will make secularists less likely to come here and start small squabbles to prove to themselves that Christians are as bad as they think we are.

Quit with the "us and Them" mentality. That is the problem.

You seem to assume only Christians can understand. Stop with the holier then thou arrogance. Unity can never happen with this kind of mindset.

If faith was a means to find truth then all the worlds faiths would also be true. It is clear that faith misleads.

So you don't "know" any more then anyone else.
