I adjusted it to "in relationship". Google says it can mean living together without being actually married.
When people at a high school or college talk about a relationship, it means the same as fornication. Am I incorrect?

They are not mutually exclusive. We live in a fallen world. Stuff happens.
I remember it that way, as well. Amazing that my memory can go back that far!!When people at a high school or college talk about a relationship, it means the same as fornication. Am I incorrect?
I put 'in relationship' as my status cos i mean 'in relationship' with Jesus and 'in relationship' with God.
I.e Jesus is my big bro and God is my heavenly Father.
I mean I am part of the church family body of Christ.
It isnt meant to mean im sleeping with somone who im not married to lol.
No, not at all.Isn't in a relationship a synonym for fornication?

No, not at all.
Fornication is the act of sexual intercourse between 2 people who are not married.
Adultery is sexual intercourse between 2 or more people one of which is married.
They do not.... where did you get such an absurd idea? Why do Christians use the term boyfriend and girlfriend, which clearly have connotations of fornication?
And? You have zero point here....I'm talking about when people say "im in a relationship".
And? You have zero point here....
Someone who was betrothed (biblical) is not sexually intimate yet they are 100% in a relationship. In fact the ONLY reason a man could break the betrothal was if his betrothed was found to have engaged in fornication or adultery with another man. Yet he could not be physically intimate with his betrothed until the night of the wedding.
Wasn't it a contract and not a ceremony in bible times?
There seem to be a lot of variables to this question, far beyond how to combat a spirit of fornication or compromise. Do you have a Pastor? And let me be clear what I am asking, is do you have a man/woman of God who lives in holiness and does their best to instruct you in how to walk in a holy lifestyle since you've joined Team Jesus? The reason I ask, is God has a clear and set order for you to get all of these questions answered. It pleased God to establish a ministry for the sake of your soul. So while asking general questions, or sharing biblical truth on a forum seems appropriate in most cases, I feel like this is a "real" question, that you need "real" answers to. If you don't have a Pastor I would seek God to send someone to you.How do i cut this person off since I known her for years.
She did ask if she was still my friend and I found myself saying 'yes' but maybe I should have said NO.
And then said well you are friends with the world and a friend of the world is at enmity with Christ. But I didnt know what to say when she asks me point blank over the phone. Or maybe I should have turned the question on her and said I dont know are you friends with Jesus?
well, my friend who I met at church (she goes to a different church now as she moved) who is elder than me and walked several years with the Lord has also met my other friend who I knew for more than 10 years but I have discussed this with her and she's helping me through it, with prayer and and what to do when she kinda drags me the other way. There seem to be a lot of variables to this question, far beyond how to combat a spirit of fornication or compromise. I think one of the worse things Christians can say (in most cases!) is, "We aren't friends anymore, because I go to church now." That is so dismissive! But, it is important to come out from among the world and be separate, to save your own soul. What I have learned to do, is to show your old friend the goal that you have in mind. Let them know the change that you have experience and how that has changed your life. Then share with them, I am working to meet this goal, and if you have a different goal in mind that is perfectly okay, we are naturally going to seperate. Amos 3:3 asks how can two walk together, except they be agreed. If you are going right and I'm going left, eventually we can no longer hold hands! It's not because your mean, ugly, or nasty - I don't have any ill feelings towards you, its just you are going a different way than I am!
Sorry that post got soooooo long!
I didn't mean to offend you - what I meant by "real" was "heavy" or "serious".open your bible...all my questions on here are REAL questions its never a case that I make up questions just for the sake of it. I live a REAL life. Its not a hypothesis.
This is a christian advice forum not a debate forum where I think up all these tricky situations and get people to answer them to show off how much they know lol.
