Hello you and welcome; this is a question for you - this would be for anyone and not just Christian specific but could not post in actual Philosophy due to restrictions.

What type of philosophy do you live by?

The first thing you must do is understand what philosophy means by definition.

Philosophy - noun - the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence.

Other similar words - thinking, reasoning, thoughts, wisdom, knowledge -

1. A particular system of philosophical thought
2. The study of the theoretical basis of a particular branch of knowledge or experience.

My own personal chosen to be lived by Philosophy is this below:

That we all suffer, we all have emotions, we all have needs, we all have problems, and we all have God to look towards for a solution for comfort by choice to have peace which comes from looking towards the Lord Jesus Christ who taught us that even though life is difficult, and hard to bear: He bears all our problems, and desires for us to rest of Him, because His burden is easy and light compared to the world that brings us; suffering problems, and overcoming the world is something offered to all people even though in this flesh we will still struggle but we have been given the spirit of Adoption which as believers you become a Child of God or Son or Daughter of God by having faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (though not all have faith) and that makes life a little better while we are here for the reassurance of Gods love towards us but also towards other; regardless if they may not be a believer or yet understand the truths of God.

For many years, I have found myself drawn to the Franciscan way of life.
Loving and serving God and our neighbour. Showing hospitality, providing welcome to the stranger, reaching out to all people, especially those on the margins, those who are rejected or misunderstood. Being good stewards of God's creation and the gifts he has given us. Being instruments of peace and reconciliation. Seeing the face of Christ in everyone we meet.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

I have three precepts I live by.

Life: Love covers a multitude of sins.
It minimizes hatred, anger, and grudges.

Family: La famille est tout.
It emphasizes love, duty, and togetherness.

Work: Use what you've got.
It emphasizes effort, ingenuity, and excellence.
