• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I don't mind being labled a sheep because a sheep always follows it's Master and not a stranger.

*baaa, baaa!*

At least you're honest.

You're not a christian because you probably judge christianity by the character of people rather than by Jesus. Because if you truely understood christianity and that it's about Him, the cross, the blood, freedom, love and the victory, then in what way can you even say that you're not a christian?? That doesn't make sense..........unless you don't like what Christ has to offer...perhaps??

I just look at the fruits of Christianity, and I see mostly bad. Bad ideas, bad reasoning, horrible attitudes and it's the institution of Christanity that is to blame.

I got no beef with someone believing in Christ, but no matter how much you deny it, there is more to the religion than that. There's dogma, there's politics, there's creeds, and doctrines, and bureaucracy and tradition and this and that and none of it has anything to do with Christ. That's what I got a beef with.

Observation: younger people don't have a problem with the name change, while older people do. I've noticed that older people have a problem with change and teenagers and young adults basically don't care as long as the actual format doesn't change. You're blowing it way out of proportion. You can start worrying when they start allowing cussing and create a non-Christians only section.

I have made an observation as well
Your above comment was remarkably similar to a prior comment of Yours.

You really are overreacting a bit. It would be different if they removed the cross from the entire site and even more if they removed the word "Christian" from the title. They didn't though. That little removal means nothing.

Young people have not been around long enough to comprehend what change actually means, in most cases.

The old timers aren't as foolish as you believe them to be, they know a good deal more than we give them credit for.

I find it prophetic that you called it by the way.

Why would anyone deny it? When you have over 2000 years of history you are of course going to have...well history. :)
I mean come on when you have millions of people following something there's going to be people you disagree with, it might help to look around for people you could agree with.

it won't end when you have those of us who believe in the inerrant Word of God having liberalism shoved down out throats as acceptable of who God and Christ is.

So-called "liberalism" is being "shoved down your throats"? Please. This is an online community with members of vastly different faith backgrounds. "Liberalism" is not being "shoved down throats" any more than sonservatism".

If you can't handle people that disagree with your interpretation of the Bible and other issues, I suggest you go elsewhere. People disagreeing with you is a fact of life online.

There is nothing wrong with a secular forum where anybody can meet and post. However, I joined a "Christian Forum" to post and fellowship with other Christians. It would be kind of like me joining a forum about baseball because I really love baseball. And then one day they change it and it is no longer a baseball forum, but a sports forum, and you now have threads about diving, hockey, roller derby, horse racing, etc... and baseball has a little section somewhere.

A name change doesn't affect your ability to post and fellowship with other Christians. It's all semantics.

I'm afraid you completely missed the point.
No, because you seemed to indicate that by changing the name of this forum, the "Christian" had been taken out of the forums. It's not true. Nothing has really changed except for a few rules and the name.

Then why are you here in a Christian forum? You aren't going to like what we have to say.

Nothing is stopping posting, but something is sure being used as an excuse to whine.

Huntingman, I say we give 'em an hour's headstart & then release the dogs. You locked & loaded? I'll bring the beer.;)

The fact is that it has, since now it's Buddhism, secualrism, crazy forums. Christians get attacked in their own apologetics forum now.
