Which do you think is the most accurate translation of the New Testament into English?

I know monasteries that read it all in the original Greek language, haha. but personally I dunno the best translation. I like my OSB which has the King James as the NT, but what is great is that it has Patristic comments to give the right context

Subscribing. I have found the NASB to avoid problems more often than other translations, but that's just in a sampling of verses I've studied it out. I'm far from being able to give a well-studied answer. I'm only working on learning Greek myself. In my Church, they do read it in Greek ...

All of them have their good and bad points. There are some limitations with linguistics, for example the word 'Logos; is translated as 'Word'. But when you translate 'Word' back into greek it is 'Lexi' (where we get the english word lexicon from). Heck we can say on that point the chinese translation works better where 'Logos' in John 1.1 translates as 'Tao'.

There are I believe 5 different greek words in the NT all translated as 'love' in certain english versions. The Jehovahs Witness like to claim they have the most accurate translation because they correctly translated the greek word 'ouranoi' in the opening verse in the Lord's Prayer as 'heavens' (plural). Of course they avoid telling you that the word 'epiousios' can also have a better translation and the word 'poneirou' is better translated not as, 'deliver us from evil' but as, 'deliver us from the evil one'. So they advertise how they corrected one inaccuracy but not the other two, go figure.

Which interestingly was a change in my English practice of the Lord's Prayer when I began with Orthodoxy. I heard many other's praying "deliver us from the evil one", and later asked our priest. He confirmed that indeed this was the more appropriate translation.
