Hey there FL people, how do you like the blast of cold air we have? I was out for my walk this morning at 6:30. It was only 41, and windy, actually, a nice change.

im born and raised down here.i wait all year for our 3 cool days....looool
seriously, loved it.its actually fairly cool right now....

Lol I just now was passing through a room with the windows open and thought it felt pretty cool. Maybe I ought to shut them. It might drop below 70 in the house.

after posting how i love the cool weather just now,i let the cat out and was like "bbbbrrrrrr" and almost lost my head slamming the sliding glass door closed(at around 317 mph.)
*now under a comforter,with a huge pillow this is about the right temp....lol

Are you in north FL? It gets real cold there. It was 30 yesterday morning in Tallahasee. It can't be that cold anywhere south of Gainesville. I think we're only supposed to get down in the 50s tonight.

My husband is sleeping on the couch under a blanket right now.

no unfortunately i'm not in N Florida.in Miami.maybe its my thin blood cause its jacket weather right now(69 F.).

ps,its my duty as a man to tell you to let that man of yours just lay there and relax.......loooool

He is recovering from a virus. He's felt lousy all day and I have been trying to get him to rest.

I'm new on CF, and I live on the east coast of Florida, about an hour and a half south of the Cape.

I am a member of another Christian site, and we have gatherings so that folks from the forums can meet and form offline (in addition to) online friendships.

Hi Connie Welcome to CF.

I haven't met anyone from CF except for one sweet young lady. Most friends I've made live quite far, but she and her husband lived almost in my backyard! They lived about 2-3 mi. from me. Small world. Since they moved to Indiana I miss her terribly at times. She doesn't come online much anymore either, making it doubly hard.

Hope to see you around more at CF, to get to know you.

Welcome to CF! My hometown's on the east coast too, but I'm currently on the opposite side.

That's so cool that you have met your online friends! I know one person on here in real life - actually, I knew him from way back when, and one day I came upon his screen name and noticed he went to the same college I did. I went to his profile, looked at his picture, and was like, "Hey, I know him!!!"

Iris, I haven't met my online friends yet. The other website does have gatherings, but they haven't had one since I have been a member. The problem is that the website is small and intimate (which I like), but we are scattered all over the US (and the world), so it is difficult to meet up and spend time together.

I was hoping that on CF things would be different because there are so many members here. SOMEBODY is bound to live nearby. LOL!!

I already have 3 friends here from the other website (in WA, TN, and MD), but this is a big place, so I am feeling a little lonely. Thanks for the welcome.

By the way, if you live on the east coast, what are you doing on the west coast?

hey, folks. sorry I haven't made it back here until now. crazy weekend. cool i haven't seen lately here. connie, i've met 3 people from here, though i've known them for years elsewhere. i actually sent someone who's a member here now, but i knew them from before. cf doesn't do gatherings, but i know of several of us that have meet each other, especially when we figure out we're pratically neighbors (as mentioned)! it all depends on what's going on....

The other website I am a member of doesn't organize the gatherings either. The members do. We all get so friendly that it is just natural to want to talk on the phone and meet one another.

It's in Orlando. No, it's not mentioned in the mainstream too much. And, yes, I've been there; several times in fact. Nice place to go to. I've taken several friends of mine to experience it. Loved it every time.

Yeah, I'm already looking forward to the next time we go. They do different things according to the season we are in. Right now it is Passover/Crucifixion/Resurrection. In the fall they focus on the Jewish fall festivals. So much to learn! It brings the Bible to life in a whole new way to understand the culture from which it comes.
