I grew up in Homestead. I live in Ft Walton Beach now. I remember Shorty's. But I also remember Shiver's BBQ on S Dixie Hwy near Homestead.

Is there anybody here from Jupiter? I was thinking about transplanting there but I've never been there before. I just heard it's nice. I grew up in Homestead but I'm sure it's a far cry from Jupiter, especially these days.

I've been here twenty years, so I have had time to get used to it. Plus I really like the year-round warm weather.
That said, when I dream at night I am always in the house in Wisconsin that I grew up in. My heart has never admitted that Florida is "home".

I love it hear in good ole Florida. The weather is nice, my church is awesome and the Pen Florida Youth District is great too! Sure, we get four hurricanes and a tropical storm in one season but hey.... that is the risk of living here. The weather we are having now is why i live here! And because i cannot legally move without my parents' consent. My school got the most damage from Charley in my school district... and i still want to live here. my power was out for 5 days and i still want to live here and weather the storms... Florida is my home state and will always be my home state... I will live here for the rest of my life, hopefully...
