No, but I've been there many times. I have a friend who used to live there, but since has moved to cooler Colorado. I am 4 hours south of Jax.

Been there too; it's about 2 hours from me. Recently drove through it going to and coming back from somewhere. It's improved by the look of it, though know I-95 is under construction in Jax itself!

I went out to Titusville yesterday to see the launch--but the weather scrub the launch. Nasa is going to try again today at 6:51--but I kind of doubt they'll launch it today. I know the kids want to go out there again this evening, but I don't want to waste the gas going out there again.

they've been cancelling the launches alot lately, or seems to me. hoping you at least caught it on the TV...

the name's Jeremy, I live out in Melbourne, FL. It's mostly a Retirement Town, hence the nickname "mel-BORING"... but if you can find people with the same interests as you, it can be fun. If you want to know where it is, melbourne's just between miami and Jacksonville.
But... i've been thinkin' of going into trucking and maybe moving to kentucky or somewhere relatively colder.

I've never had that impression of Melbourne! I take trips to Melbourne every couple of months and for a time, about 15 yrs. ago, I was attending a church there regularly, Sunday and Wednesday, Church By the Sea. In later yrs. I have gone because there are more health food stores and herb stores than where I live.

Of course where I live there are tons of retirees too. Isn't that pretty much the case for all FL?

I live in Melbourne and my description of it would be - rednecks, engineers, and military. Not sure where the retirees are living around here.

Take the bus system [SCAT], you'll see a lot of them maybe I live and work in the wrong part [Near Eau Gallie and wickham]. most are good natured folks.

I've never ridden the bus, so I will have to take your word for it. You work near where I live, tho - hmmm. Most of the retired people I see are sitting on the benches by the coffee machines in Publix at Lake Washington and Wickham.

yep I live in Sanford/Lake Mary. The wife and I had several days together waiting for the launch and no joy. then when I go back to work and the weather socks us in they launch and we miss it. blech!

We drove out to Space View park in Titusville on Sunday to watch the launch. A friend of mine who also lives over in Lake Mary was thinking about going out last night to see the launch--but I declined thinking it would be another scrub. I did step out side last night and saw it go up from over here in Sanford.

Oh well there are several rocket launches coming up and another shuttle launch in August.

and right on cue, there's sheep! (and he's definitely good people!) one of these days i may see if we can meet up, just to have a cup of coffee and some smiles! i don't tend to even keep up the shuttle anymore. my schedule being what it is, i never manage to catch it anymore.
