Sure it is belief is belief about God's word.
No, it's not. The Bible does NOT say "then I, the Lord, created a flat earth", or "I put man in the garden on my flat earth to tend it", or let all the flat earth praise the Lord."
When will you guys get it into your heads that a) we are all Christians here - and that includes globe earthers; b) that we have no intention of changing, disputing or disbelieving God's word; and c) that flat earth is not a Scriptural teaching, is not Christian doctrine and saves no one.
Take Numbers 13 and the bad report (lies) the spies gave about the land God promised The Hebrews.
What about it?
When did God ever say, "I created the earth flat" and Christians say, "no, we know better and you didn't"? Or, "no, we'll never believe what YOU tell us about the shape of your earth"?
Globe earth believers have an unbelief about God's creation because of science.
Science = knowledge. It's what men and women have seen, learnt, tried out, investigated, tested and found to be true. Some of those scientists, or those with a passion for learning and experimentation, are Christians.
Haven't you ever had someone say to you, "try it and see"? Try putting paper in water, try burning, or freezing, certain substances and see what happens?
Have you never said it yourself; "let's see what happens if I leave sugar out of this recipe", "I wonder what will happen if I mix red and green together"? All of that is the basis of experimentation. When I asked how deep the earth is, Apple Sky said that the deepest hole ever dug was over 40,000 feet deep. How did she know that? Presumably by looking it up. How did anyone know that they could dig 40,000 feet into the earth? Because at some time, someone said, "I wonder how deep I can dig into the earth?" And they had a go; experimented and then wrote up their results.
If flat earth was true then the scientists - who experiment and test to find the truth - would be able to confirm it.
If God wanted all people to know that he created the earth to be flat then a) he would have said so, clearly, in his word so that ALL Christians would believe and accept it and b) he would have had all scientists everywhere prove it - so that everyone else in the world would say "oh, if the Bible is correct about that, what else is it correct about?"
Neither of those things have happened.
And not only do they have an unbelief, but they support the lies science makes about God's creation.
Nonsense.
Some scientists are, or were, committed Christians.
