If there is some big conspiracy, why on Earth put it on the UN flag?! Your idea makes no sense. The UN flag was designed that way so that there wouldn't be a country in the centre of it.

Second, what is the point of the conspiracy? Why go to so much bother to try and convince people that the world wasn't flat? It's pointless. Also, they must be pretty rubbish if a few guys on the internet can figure it out. Why haven't they got rid of you yet?

Also don't forget the Lunar Module had to dock with the spacecraft in the moon orbit.....you know when the spacecraft would have been orbiting at ridiculous speeds. Nothing went wrong. Hahhaha, who believes this stuff?

The distance between earth and ISS is ~ 350-400 miles.
Time to reach ISS from earth 6 hours.

The distance between earth and moon ~ 240,000 miles.
Time to reach moon from earth ~ 3 days.

Think about that one.

Why is NASA worrying about radiation and van allen radiation belts for missions to mars?

They didn't have a problem back during the apollo missions. They even flew while there was a solar storm (where the radiation effect is multiplied to orders of magnitude).

If you ever flew in the Concorde back in the day it flew so high you could easily see the curve of the earth.

As for a any pilot claiming the earth is flat...they have to get their lips off of of the crack pipe.

Nice try.

Concorde had a maximum altitude of 69,000 feet.

The space balloons that were recently launched had an altitude of 120,000 feet and saw NO CURVATURE (the ones NOT using go pros which use fish eyed lens).

This also explains why when you start ascending upwards....the horizon stays eye level to your POV. So if you ascending 1000 feet, the horizon is at eye level. This explains why pilots need gyroscopes....they are unable to tell where the ground is during a storm etc.

If it was a curved earth, the horizon would not stay eye level when you start ascending.

Here is a test. Focus on an object on the ground and pretend it is the horizon. Now jump up. You will see the object below you. That is what you should expect the horizon to be when you travel in a plane, you expect the atomsphere to curve,....yet it is eye level. This proves flat earth without a doubt.

Is the ground curved or the atomsphere? If the atomsphere was ground, it would be ground-level! 8" inches per mile. We don't see that for the ground, we don't see that in the atomsphere. It's flat.

Think about it.

The flat earth has several land surveyors, pilots, flight instructors, engineers...you can watch some of their interviews from the Mark Sargent youtube channel.

You don't even have to go to the that height to see the curve. Try flying in a business jet.

Besides for a flat earth I would have to change all my calculations.

What calculations? flight calculations? I thought no pilots took into account the curvature. Only NASA does. You cannot have it both ways, pick one.

I flew in several planes, I saw no curvature. We have photos from the concorde too, there is no curvature.

Besides, NASA's own space balloons (with the fish eye lens and CGI) show no curvature at the altitude the concorde flew at.

i have a 12 or so inch diameter globe of earth.
i look at it and see no curvature, just a round "map"
i walk around this globe and stop every 90 degrees, i still see no curvature and all i see is a round "map".
i look from the north pole and the south pole, i still don't see any curvature, just a round "map".
what am i to conclude from these observations?

any commercial airline pilot can confirm the spherical nature of earth by having to continually adjust their heading while flying.
this sort of thing wouldn't need to be done for a flat earth.

uh, i don't mean any disrespect, but do you really believe the earth is flat?

Also if I am dealing with a satellite in a low and/or polar orbit I have to deal with the sphere called earth.

When I am flying communication and navigational radio range is determined by the sphere of the earth and my altitude. I have to apply a formula based on a sphere.

I think it's very real as the OP has posted many threads about a flat earth conspiracy. It is amusing to see someone do gold medal worthy mental gymnastics for an idea that is easily demonstrated to be wrong.

You CANNOT have it both ways. A plane cannot be adjusting for curvature AND not adjusting for curvature at the same time.

How can they cruise at a constant altitude? Remember, it's 580 mph......with the curvature being 8" per mile.

A little thing called Gravity. The plane is not flying at escape velocity, not even close to it. that's the only way it could fly in an absolutely straight line. So gravity keeps it following the curvature of the earth, and therefore the plane flies at a more or less constant altitude (forgetting that there are mountains and valleys which impose small corrections on the actual altitude at any given point.}.

Notice there is no kind of distortion on the horizon. All of the NASA videos have horizon distortions (either due to CGI or type of lens used).
