Deflection? Where?

Are you saying you're incapable of speaking the truth? (Illogical question, I know)
You ignored the main part of my statement and latched on to a secondary element of it so that you wouldn't have to address that main point... deflection.

Top of the thread.

Overnight? That makes sense.

Globe? Errrrrrrrrhhhh...that's a stretch.

I thought you were flat earther, already seen and head it all many times on here before, you're kind of late to the party.

Or perhaps you are going for a triangular prism? I prefer a potato myself, could make chips then mmm.

Aren't you the guy who thinks the earth is mushroom-shaped? That's not any better.

It is more creative though, I will give you that.

Mushrooms fried in butter to go with my chips! Now I want some lunch...

Trust me. You do not delve into any pseudepigrapha from the new testament. Do so at your own risk.
That's right tiger, its a slippery slope to the Goetia and the Quabbala...and cricketers' memoirs.

But don’t have anything to do with stupid arguments about [the shape of the Earth]. And stay away from disagreements and quarrels about the [the shape of the Earth]. Such arguments are useless and senseless. (CEV)

Brilliant. You ignore the fact that the scripture specifies what kind of argument it refers to (foolish arguments) and you leave out what it specifically speaks about (genealogies, and legal squabbles); then you input what you think it speaks about (the shape of the Earth).

Then NLT shows up and disagrees with you:

Do not get involved in foolish discussions about spiritual pedigrees or in quarrels and fights about obedience to Jewish laws. These things are useless and a waste of time. (NLT)

Now when you understand the entire context of Titus 3, a chapter in a book written by Paul to a likely non-Jew (Titus), encouraging him with the good news of salvation extended to the gentiles (no longer Jews alone), you'll understand better the sense of the scripture above.

Titus 1:10,

For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group (Jewish rite). (NIV)

But as is expected you've spoken out of lack of understanding; and if anything, have mostly been the one oddly interested in my spiritual pedigree.

This is all blind interpretation which projects itself in the guise of having understanding; when all that's needed sometimes is to be patient and read through other versions of scripture for better clarity.

Here: 2 Corinthians 10:5,

We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. (NLT)

Science particularly takes God out of the picture and tells you earth was formed out of a big bang, and humans (created in the image of God), emanated from apes. Now, unless apes were made in the image of God, I don't see how that aligns.

I especially like this other version:

We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. (NASB)

I don't need deflection for that. I'm plainly letting you know you're not in any position to weigh my spiritual pedigree.

The best is always kept for last.

I feel like I already told you to watch the video, but I may be wrong.

It has to be. It's the Creator's design.

Isn't it interesting how flat earthers were always teased about not having a working model wherein the sun never seemed to set, then a working model comes along and everyone cries bully?!

A working model? Really? I'd love to see it.

You could start with an accurate map of your version of the earth.

You could start with an accurate map of your version of the earth.

What exactly are you saying?

The map I used was inaccurate?

Or you want me to formulate my own map to prove an irrelevant point?

Missed this.

I never said anything about testing my understanding of God's word.

I spoke of testing (the validity of) God's word. We don't do that.

I don't need science to prove to me the rightness of His word.

I use His word to prove the rightness of science.

So yes, faith has to be blind, so that the exact opposite of walking by faith is walking by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight. (KJV)

It is almost always an error to call the Bible "God's word" since what one is referring to is not the Bible itself, but one's own personal interpretation of the Bible.

Some Christians interpretation of the Bible results in a belief that God is a liar. They themselves usually admit that God cannot lie. If one's interpretation of the Bible leads to a belief that God lied it might be a good time to reevaluate one's interpretation. The sciences can be very useful for that. The sciences do not refute God. They merely refute incorrect interpretations of what God is.

How do you stretch a line on your model, as a stretched line is flat and straight.

I will look at this tomorrow.

As for science, I don't care much about science except what fits inside the framework of the Bible. That can be tested and observed with repeating experiments like gravity.

No bible verse suggests that the earth is anything but a circle at a distance. So anything that adds to this is not scriptural.

Scriptures which depict east and west as points of rising and setting respectively, have no bearing on our discussion?

"Local man is stunned."

This makes no sense.
We had passed the point in our discussion ... of East and West showing up in the scriptures ...

Well, how do you test your understanding of God's word?

Most Christians accept the sphericity of the earth, and it does not conflict with their understanding of the scriptures. How is one to determine whose understanding is to be preferred?
