The number of days per year with potential midnight sun increases the closer towards either pole one goes. Although approximately defined by the polar circles, in practice the midnight sun can be seen as much as 55 miles (90 km) outside the polar circle, as described below, and the exact latitudes of the farthest reaches of midnight sun depend on topography and vary slightly year-to-year.

At the poles themselves, the sun rises and sets only once each year on the equinox. Observers at heights appreciably above sea level can experience extended periods of midnight sun as a result of the "dip" of the horizon viewed from altitude.

It honestly gets tiresome to constantly deal with aggressively ignorant arguing from multiple people who don't have a clue about what they are arguing against. I can respect a person who honestly looked at FE and chose not to believe, but I can't respect people at all who argue against something they have no real knowledge of. After a while, you just have to let them babble on by themselves, ignoring the crap spewing forth because it's understood their only real agenda is to try to make themselves feel smarter at the expense of someone else.

Until any of you actually take a look into actually understanding the other side of the argument, you are all, quite frankly, not worth a moment of his time.

The problem is that the idea of a flat Earth is very stupid (the idea, not the people who cleave to it) and if the first thing a seeker finds when they come to this site is the idiotic idea (not the people who hold such ideas) that there is this amazing conspiracy that defies all logic they may just be turned away from investigating Christianity more.

I was conversing with an atheist who made a point to tell me that he is atheist. I didn't bring it up. Last time I checked, there's more than one in the world and I think two at least in this thread .

Perhaps it's off topic and I would delete from here and put it in one of my threads instead but I can't delete a post. I'm sorry you are offended as a brother in Christ. I don't see that questioning atheism is a bad thing on CF. BTW, it's comical that you think all of our arguments have been refuted when in reality, yours have.

I tend to ignore what I consider untrue. Exactly what you're doing. The difference between me and you is that I lived and breathed on a flying spinning ball for nearly 50 years. I've heard all the Fake "evidence" for a globe and was taught it all through school and college. You should be examining and comparing YOUR proofs to flat earth proof, evidence and preconceived notions. Yet you refuse to do that.

Step off the ball for a week and imagine flat earth and how everything works perfectly, even better and much simpler than the "Beg" Bang Hoax. Take your mind and visualizations OFF the "planet" you love so much for a week and step into flat earth. Consider it a vacation and a short adventure and you know you can always get back on the ball anytime, it will always be there for you.

Before I go too much further in THIS thread can you answer a few questions as you know of my faith and position. Are you one of the atheists on this thread or a Christian? Second, do you believe in evolution, the bang, a roughly 14.5 billion year old "universe" and and an only 4.5 billion year old earth?
