I will not settle for "refraction".. this would be the "go to" answer.. for those without one...
If it were refraction, then sometimes the sun would rise, early, do to refraction.. what a site.. Sunrise scheduled for 6:45 but it rises at 6:30 and nobody notices...
OH.. .I got it... it only happens when there is a lunar eclipse... nope.... not refraction.

Ladies and gentleman this thread is not about the movement of the earth, the Sun, Moon and the stars: it is simply about the earth being flat or not period, nothing else.
That being said I have kindly posed a challenge for those following this thread to examine the passages I cited in post #62 of this thread which show that the earth is not circular nor a globe of any shape or kind. Does anyone have scripture which says otherwise?

Again, as I suggested, this would mean that from time to time the sun would be observed to rise before it's scheduled time.. If this is your argument, maybe you can show proof that the sun, which is supposed to rise at, say, 6:45, actually rose at 6:30.. which would be necessary to happen on occasion, in order to have the said effect...And indeed, during a lunar eclipse, the sun and moon are exactly 180 degrees apart in the sky. In a perfect alignment like this (called a "syzygy"), such an observation would seem impossible. But thanks to Earth's atmosphere, the images of both the sun and moon are apparently lifted above the horizon by atmospheric refraction. This allows people on Earth to see the sun for several extra minutes before it actually has risen and the moon for several extra minutes after it has actually set.

Ya.... I have not seen many Lunar eclipses either... never thought to bring a camera and never once have seen this event..The article does not have any photos, sadly...
I have never experienced the eclipsed moon together with sun in the sky, so I would like to see how it looks like.

But, there it is, described in black and white and deemed "impossible" until you spin it with "refraction".
The word today boys and girls.... is "refraction".. use this to maintain that something that is impossible.. is not impossible.. That way...you don't have to figure out what is really going on.
What is even harder to believe is that those most vocal in opposition to their view have the least evidence needed to prove them wrong.

To begin, there is no way in the reality of our physical observation of the earth it cannot be a sphere. Anyone who argues against that are ignorant. No disrespect there, we are all ignorant when we do not know about something.
God gave us the gift of science, and science is telling us that the earth is a sphere.
This argument must be shelved,, unless God encourages us to continue it.

And I could not found any such photo on google, so we do not even know what we are talking about...
