• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have no idea how they got those. Quaker is right. I can't imagine where they got SDA from. Very interesting, anyway. The more general "Belief O Matic" pegs me as 100% fit for Liberal Quaker.

Well, do tell you up start!!! LOL

What would you start?:p

:D

I was just teasing since they don't even have non-denominational on their list. ;)

I'm half Southern Baptist and half non-denominational! :D

Well, I'm basically a Southern Baptist that believes that the gifts of the Spirit are still available to us today including the gift of tongues.

It seems the Southern Baptist don't believe in speaking in tongues and the non-denominational I have been to thinks everyone should speak in tongues.

The non-denominational church I attended was started by a Souther Baptist that received the gift of tongues. Unfortunately, now his church thinks everyone should speak in tongues.

I don't really know anything about Assemblies of God which it choose for me. Maybe I should check them out, but I have this feeling they probably believe that everyone should speak in tongues!! LOL

Here's my list from the survey!

#1 Assemblies of God
#2 Reformed Baptist
#3 Southern Baptist
#4 Free Will Baptist
#5 Presbyterian Church in America/Orthodox Presbyterian Church
#6 Reformed Churches
#7 Mennonite Brethren
#8 Presbyterian Church USA

Terri!

We were almost identical in what the "dumb" test selected as our denoms. Too funny! The only thing is that Freewill was my second and it was your fourth. My denom is not on there either (EFCA) but then maybe we are too radical for the mainlines. LOL

Us independents have to band together! :)

First three the same as Lotar. What a coincidence. Same age and we're both Lutheran. We must've read most of the same things!

Maybe we're the same person :D

MattMMMan17, what the heck did you answer to get that? Mormonism was number 20 for me! :D
Mormans have a single infallible head of the church, their "prophet." Different than the Pope, but conserning this test, pretty close :D

That would explain that.
