Finally Saved - an original Poem / Song
He preach the way of peace, but what he really want is war?
While evil trample down the righteous, all he does is keep the score.
The good news is a promise, if you suffer all your life,
but not all of us are soldiers who are ready to take the knife.
I'm a nerd, not a jock, I'm a hippie, he's the rock.
He's the savior, he's the king, enlisting soldiers to heaven bring.
Now who am I to argue with the God who made the clay,
just what were you thinking when you made me this way?
Cause there's nobody righteous, no not even one,
Cept for those who been washed in the blood of the son.
Now pick hot or cold, and you're sure to have gold,
You're predestined, it's foretold, you were made in heavens mold.
cause the hypocrit is poor, both after and before.
And the cry that goes ignored, winds up sinning even more.
Decieve the whole world or tell one little lie,
but in the same lake of fire every sinner gonna fry?
And I mourn for mother earth, she wither fade away,
cause the whole wide world has gone the way of Cain.
I say bring me a witnesses to hold back the rain,
cause if I don't see a miracle I think I'll go insane.
I was on a quest for truth, in a world full of lies
But the answer in my heart, still leaves me mystified
And I didn't come to you cause they said I'd go to hell
And I didn't go to church, where the masses all dwell
Nor did I seek your face to contend for the faith
But I repent of all my sins, and pray it's not too late.
And I didn't want to find you for the riches, crowns, and fame
And I didn't lust for power when I called your mighty name
Nor did I ask to sit on your left or right above
But the thing that stole my heart was that you're the God of love
And I know you know better, far better then me
And I know it took a lot for you to set us all free
Now my thick sinful heart was drowning in despair
But then you filled me with your spirit and I knew that you were there
I wonder how could you die, and save a wretch like me
When I was lost in my rebellion, I didn't expect to see
The holy God of Abraham, come to take MY place
Now I'm a very different person, cause of such amazing grace
And suddenly my body is a living sacrifice
There's a strange sense of peace, and it's really really nice
And I've lost all desire to live in sin depraved
I guess that means that I'm finally saved
Still I awaken in a hopeless world dark
The end of all flesh is come upon you, but I don't have an ark
Till the grave I go where my hand embark
And I'm dreading the day they implement the mark
