 No, tis just pesky insomnia :( Blechy. I got a few hours, but not feeling too clever, must be honest :sorry:

Are you drinking normal tea, or some fancy hyper-bouncy concoction? :D

Can you sleep during the day at all?
When I get totally zonked through insomnia, I find I can catch up a bit by having a snooze in the day time. :)

Tis annoying, isn't it?
If it makes you feel any better, I kept my fiance up until amost 0500 your time this morning on the webcam. :sorry: Poor guy.

It's just regular white tea, but it might also be blending oddly with the allergy meds I'm taking in order to breathe. Whatever the cause, it makes me productive and I could stand to lose some weight, so I can handle it. :D

i never drink tea after 9 in the evening, but i have trouble sleeping as it is

I only drink decaf tea in the evening and try not to eat after 7:00 or 8:00 PM. It makes a huge difference, especially as you get older.

Earl Grey is the tea of choice in this house....though occasionally some flavored green tea gets snuck in.
mmmm earl grey, that is my favorite too
oolong and Japanese sencha green tea is also good, I think some green teas almost have an earthy "brothy" taste

I am a coffee guy. My wife likes all sorts of different teas but I just can't get into them.:)
That's my preference

Some green tea tastes like brewed grass clippings, but the flavored stuff ain't too bad.

decaf is anathama!!! a sin agianst God and the natural order of things grrrrrr.
lol

^_^ I was talking about decaf, iced tea, which itself makes the Brits react the same way you did.

What is white tea? Stronger than black tea?

White tea is not at all strong, yet provides all the benefits of green tea, with less caffeine. This meets all my criteria.

Coffee is my first choice as well, but when one marries a Brit and plans to move to his country, it's best to make an attempt to assimilate. I need to cut back on caffeine, anyway, so it's all good, but I detest green tea. It actually makes me sick to my stomach.

People say you don't go to England for the cuisine~guess you eat lots of "fish & chips" there?^_^

So white tea doesn't taste like grass then~is it more of a black tea flavor?

To heck with the food. There is enough incredible beer there to keep anyone happy. :D

I will be making a great deal of things from scratch that are normally found ready-made here; like enchilada sauce and onion soup mix. It's OK, though, as I love to cook and not all English cuisine is that bad.

White tea is very mild and pleasant. It needs nothing added to it as it's not bitter or violently strong.

Fish, chips, and mushy peas with a nice cup of rosie lea (tea).

That is the feast of kings.^_^

Oh, I learned real fast to order my F&C with no mushy peas.

I mean, you live so close to France~do you go over there on occasion and get real food?:p

ROFL! Tell me about it! But I'm marooned in one of our glorious colonies and am about as far from France as you can get! I'm in New Zealand now and oh how I miss the fish, chip and mushy pea.:yum:

But what a coincidence! Just yesterday they had a French Day just round the corner from me and it was freaking awesome! I didn't realise we had so many French peeps down here! Oh yum, I was trying all the French cheeses but had to skip the pastries (on a diet, groan). And it was the first time I tried that drink, Pastise, that they drink before playing petanque. Urgh yuck, it's revolting, aniseedy...puke. But oh yeah, French cuisine is hard to beat!

LOL! Oh I was sorely tempted I tell ye! :holy: But I had just been to a Farmers Market prior and had already scoffed the following:

:yum:

*Some funny pastry ball with curry in it (Indian)
*dunked and slurped my way through about 10 samples of ciabatta with different varieties of dips and flavoured oils (Greek and Italian)
*cracker and pickles
*washed down with a delicious new flavoured passionfruit Ice Tea someone has brought out down here.

:yum:

LOL. My tummy was full and the diet ruined by the time I made it to the French Day. But have no fear, they're having another one on 7 Dec and me intends to do a Marie Antionette! I shall be having my cake and eating eating too, preferrably in the form of the coffee eclair I spied yesterday. ^_^
