It's been a strange week for me. I got the chance to witness to some JWs and an old work colleague in very odd circumstances.

Then when I was working in my computer room at night, I got this very strong scent of flowers for about a minute and a half. (Usually the room smells of sweaty socks.) I thought I had it a couple of times before but never so strong.

I've heard some Christians attach a spiritual significance to that phenomenon. Right now on the Charismatic Catholic forum there's a thread about it, although I wouldn't agree with some of their interpretations. Weird stuff.

How's your week been?

Joe, can I ask you something? I was just trying to find a Youtube video for Choc about Obama, and came across some bod called "Crucifiction" who is clearly a militant atheist. Fine. But his homepage has a drawing of a rotting corpse on a cross, and the tag actually says: "Jesus has been found! Rotting Christ: nailed to the cross."

What is that? That's not atheism. Why is there so much of that now? Has messed with my head that someone could be so hateful and dark. And that so many are cheering him on and aggreeing with it all.

ETA: Have always been told that the scent of flowers signifies the Lord's presence. Not sure if it's specifically Catholic, though.

I suppose it's the road the Devil takes people down.

EDIT: Jesus still nailed to the cross is what the Devil would like to believe. No chance. Jesus is risen and the Devil defeated.

When I was at a prayer meeting once, a trusted friend had a word from the Lord in which Jesus said something like: Why are you surprised that the world is becoming like it is? Didn't I say that all this was going to happen?

Do you want to take a look at my short video called Paint the Park? Taking a little bit of the love of Jesus to a disadvataged area. You've got to watch it with the sound switched on.

Have to go for a wee while, but will have a look when am back. Thank you

EDIT: Aww! That was so nice  Heh, was one of the football teams called the "Fat Pasties"? :D Did I hear that right? What a lovely, lovely way to spend a day. That's the thing, Joe. You look at that - at the joy everyone had in doing something loving for others, and it's so pure, and clean, and gentle and peaceful and kind; then compare it to the awfulness of that homepage, with its hatred and cruelty and loudness, and it just shows how glorious God is. He rescues us from that darkness, and takes us to that park with its fresh air and sunshine, where we paint see-saws and play football and eat fun-size chocolate bars. He's amazing, really :D

I served with the high school girls from our church at a high school conference this weekend. It was wonderful! We learned about the progress of the church in seven stages in Rev. 2 and 3.
One girl who we brought to the conference is new to this country and knew nothing about the Lord at all and at the conference she prayed and learned much about the Lord and called upon His name.

:sigh:

in fairness, it looks like other forums are also down in numbers?

Maybe people are getting busier (summer & all) - or losing some interest in forums in general?
Just thinking out loud. good to see you Jim =)

Hey, a girl's gotta get some stress relief around CF....
Believe it or not tho, the rep stuff isn't as simple as people would think. Depending on where you want to go w/ it, it's actually alot of work, you can ask anyone with high rep scores from that area.

But anyhooooooooooo --
I think there's some truth to that tho. Basically, the Bible doesn't change doctrines; we have the same verses we had 2-5 years ago in forum debate. How much can you reheat the same issues?

All that really changes are the guidelines in who's allowed to post where and challenge whom & what the definition of a Christian is over that forum.
Somebody can correct me on that, but it seems that way to me anyways.

The Bible's inexhaustible, there's always new stuff to talk about. Do you think the inexhaustibility of the Bible is an evidence of divine inspiration? You could study the Gospel of John for years and still find new things in it.
I think you took my post out of context there =)
