I was raised in a COGIC church, but know I'm a Seventh Day Adventist. I would like to know when people say that they have experienced speaking in tongue and being filled with the Holly spirit. When this happens are they really possessed?

love888, I have stopped coming to this forum because it is full of compromise. When I speak the truth, it upsets them. Not a Christian attitude at all. I thought I had taken myself off of the thread that you found me on. But since you found me, I will answer you.

Speaking in tongues is a genuine Christian experience, but there are also demonic and fleshly counterfeits. It is a process. First, one must become born again by repentance of your sin and confession of Christ and His shed Blood to wash your sin away. Subsequent to being born again, some Christians become baptized in the Holy Ghost. There are several ways to refer to this baptism. Some of those filled with the Spirit receive additional spiritual giftings. One such gifting is the ability to speak in tongues by the power of the Holy Spirit. These are all very spiritual experiences. Unfortunately, SDA do not live in the spiritual. They are very much glued to the temporal. Therefore, they teach much heresy and are not to be trusted. Their major heresy is this idea of observance of the Sabbath. They insist on the physical observance of the Sabbath with no understanding that the rest of the Sabbath is meant to teach a spiritual lesson. They want to keep people under the Law (Torah) and thereby deny Christ. Of course they will deny this and will go to great lengths to justify their antichrist teachings. They are not led by the Holy Spirit, therefore they cannot be baptized into the Holy Spirit, nor can they be truly born again. The pew sitters are deceived and self-deceived, but those in higher leadership places know exactly what they are doing.

There are some things that could be said about COGIC as well.

I'm no expert, but I assume you can stay logged in. As far as what discussions you want to have, and you mention your mood is serious, blogs are not really the place for serious discussions. Someone else always controls the mic (unless you start your own), and if they don't like your discussion, then it is over.

I was having a similar prob, K, if I understand you--logged out every time you leave for a sec? You can adjust your browser so that less of your 'history' is wiped every time you leave; you want to save passwords, or login info. If you're still having probs, reveal which browser you're using. I have been reading through the post on this site now for some time and I have learned quite a few things from my readings. I know quite a bit about Christianity and other religions around the world. I have even studied the old testament and world religion in college. I am actually in the process of starting my own Christian website. I want the site to have forums just like this one. I am using weebly as my site creator, however, it doesn't seem like they offer all the options I need for building a site like this. If anyone on the staff has any advice on how I could get started with building a site with forums I would appreciate that. Thanks.

please can you help me regarding a friend account he had here on CF

by the name of ray quest (he is my best buddy ) helped me grow leaps and bound in LORD CHRIST and told me about this wonderful site too

the account vanished OR rather was in accessible form 2 august night when he posted something and then he could not even access `CF website for complaint

he is very sad about loss of his account here, without prior warning
before such an action was taken against him

please look into this matter brothers and sisters as we are one big family in LORD CHRIST
