A federal judge in Washington ruled yesterday that the unprecedented FBI raid on Rep. William J. Jefferson's Capitol Hill office was constitutional, saying the government "demonstrated a compelling need to conduct the search" in the ongoing public corruption probe . . .

This guy is as dirty as they come and he got caught red handed. I hope they throw the book at him and nail him right between the eyes!

I can't see this going anywhere but into discussion.

This ruling just lets politicians know they are not above the law. They can not just ignore the court order to provide documents.

It needed to be reviewed, so guidelines can be reached to prevent abuse. But this case was done correctly.
