Favorite Video Game Music?

It's been a while since I played it, but I remember that Chrono Cross had some awesome music that really gave the game a great atmosphere. And also the music in the Mass Effect games.

Agreed! I loved the music for the Bionis' Leg especially, but it was all very high quality.

My personal favorite is the music from NIER. Simply breathtaking.

I agree after playing this game I downloaded the entire score to this game to my iPod. I think memories of dust is my favorite track at the moment.

I love the 80s retro soundtrack from Far Cry: Blood Dragon & Trails of the Blood Dragon created by Power Glove. I also like the Metal Gear Solid Sountracks, Silent Hill Soundtracks by Akira Yamaoka, also the Elder Scrolls OST. The new DOOM remake has a great OST.

Every now and then depending what is going on, the (original) themes of the Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Brothers, and Tetris always play in my heads.

Chrono Cross, Xenogears and FF8. Persona Megaten series are my latest favorite soundtracks.

e1m1 from the original Doom is top tier and gets me pumped every time I hear it.

The soundtrack for Dark Souls is pretty good too.

The entire Donkey Kong Country series is full of masterpiece-level soundtracks.

Castlevania Symphony of The Night <--- This is from the Castlevania game released in 1997 on PS1
Destiny 2 <--- this is a music list of all the music in the latest expansion for the game
Dragon Age 4 Map Screen Music <--- I could listen to this music while sleeping really relaxing!

The Silent Hill series has amazing music as well. Akira Yamaoka (the composer) is a genius.

Illusion of Gaia and Breath of Fire IV had amazing music, but I also like the soundtrack to Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, particularly the town music.
