I think I'd go with the estate from Darkest Dungeon. One week should be plenty.

If you're asking for a place I'd like to take a vacation in.. propably Sigil from Planescape Torment. More precisely, the civic festhall.

I have that game, but haven't played it yet. That's twice I've seen here that people like it. I'm going to try it.
It's more of an interactive book than a roleplaying game, but if you enjoy reading, it is easily one of the best games ever made.

I've played Baulder's Gate, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights, etc.- all but that one.
Yes, I love reading.

You know how baldurs gate has way more story than icewind dale?

Planescape torment is to baldurs gate what baldurs gate is to icewind dale in terms of story, roleplay and reading.I reccommend you play an intelligent and wise character, you'll get far more out of the game as a mage than with a fighter or thief.

Have fun, and maybe tell us how you liked it.

Morrowind might still be my favorite gaming location, on account of how atmospheric and alien it is, but I definitely second (or third) the Planescape Torment recommendation. It's a little dated now, but Sigil is a fantastic setting.

Alright, that game is definitely next in my queue. I have it for the Switch, and, peeking at it, the graphics have improved since the PC version.

That's a tough choice! There are multiple video game locations I like. There was one stage in Mario Kart 7 that had cherry blossoms falling from the trees in one spot (was it Mario Circuit?) and I thought that was pretty. Some parts of The Swamp from Super Smash Bros. Brawl are very beautiful. Super Bomberman 5 has this adorable little place with music boxes and toys on a few stages. So I guess one of those! ^_^

There are probably others I liked that I can't remember right now.

As soon as I finish Skyrim!

There is no finishing Skyrim.

"When I finish Skyrim" is on the same level as "when the moon turns blue" or "when pigs fly".

Morrowind would probably be my choice provided my week takes place *before* Red Mountain erupts turning much of the population into refugees.

I'm not sure it'd be a great vacation even at the best of times. Walk outside your hotel and you know there are going to be a couple cliff racers lurking around nearby. ^_^

It depends on how you define finishing Skyrim. But even the most basic definition (going through the main story) takes a boatload of time.

You know, I don't think I've ever used bows in Morrowind. My go-to style of play has always been installing a bunch of magicka mods and then heading straight for Sadrith Mora. :D

Actually, I think the Shivering Isles might be the most interesting Elder Scrolls setting for a particularly weird vacation.

If you ever decide to make a character specializing in bow or even as a secondary weapon, you will LOVE all the cliff racers! :)

If I were to vacation around Cyrodil, I'd probably hang out near Skingrad. It's so pretty and the rather mysterious Count there keeps the area relatively safe. And it's not *too* far from being able to hop over to the Shivering Isles if one gets in the mood for a weird weekend or two!

The Red Dead Redemption 2 map. If you can include the weather effects.. that game is just gorgeous.

Rockstar has really improved a lot. Remember loving the GTA games during the PS2 era.. but even then those games were pretty ugly to look at, lol.
