10 and 12 for me . I liked 7 but not that much.... ( dont throw things at me LOL )
I really was ok with 10X2 but it just was more of a puzzle than actually a play through game...
12 is the only one that i played through a second time and it was easier (10 was easy both times)

You know, I've heard these huge rumors from several years ago that X was the very distant prequel to VII. It makes sense, a lot of sense, but I'm wondering if any of it's true? VII being one of my favorites, aswell as X, that would be interesting. Anyone have any speculation?

I liked 6, mainly because it was the first one I played. But my favorite was 7, mainly because of the plotline. The soundtrack was good, because the music matched the atmosphere.

I guess the reason why I liked 8 was the graphics, but who didn't like the graphics? Though there were times when I hated the gameplay.

Seriously, that game possessed my life. I idolised Sephiroth, I still wear a trench coat everywhere I go... even along the beaches of Lanzarote.
You and a lot of other people. :D But Sephiroth is the best villain of the whole series.

I don't understand, really, how Sephiroth became so popular... He didn't have a lot to say in the original VII, he just was kind of there and killed people then got killed, then killed more people.

I personally think Kuja was one the best... did everything he could to destroy everything, even after learning he would inevitably die, kill to the bitter end. (The good guys were best of all though o.o)

I realize I probably won't be the most popular guy on this thread after speaking my mind on this subject, but I saw this topic posted and had already commented on RPGs in another section... so I thought I should share this with you.

Playing RPGs that contain demonic characters is not something a Christian should be doing. For example, take the Final Fantasy series ... you are playing a game where you are casting spells on the other characters using ACTUAL occultic figures that are still being worshipped today. (Including characters such as Baphomet, Shiva, Ifrit, etc)

Trust me people, the Bible tells us not to be involved with those who practise the black arts, and this is no acception. Believing it isn't a bad thing to YOU doesn't make it right ... the important thing is to read the instructions God gave us through the Bible, and obey what we have read.

This is coming from a guy who was once completely obsessed with RPGs throughout his life ... I even have a Final Fantasy Tattoo on my ankle, that [I might ad] would love to have removed ...

Please don't get into these kinds of things guys and galls.

I realize that I can't convince any of you to give up something relating to your personal ilife unless you are truly convicted of it ... but I just thought I would give my two sense on the matter.

This is simply fantasy, and borrows a lot from the mythologies of various cultures... all fantasy does that, and I don't see why it would be wrong in any way. :) That's one of the things that make fantasy interesting. I think fantasy has always borrowed ideas from mythology. Why would it be a bad thing? :)

As for Final Fantasy, I've recently started playing FF VIII. It's really addictive! And I like the storyline... it's very intriguing. Right now I've just finished the second disc, so I guess I'm somewhere near the middle of the game.

If that's your conviction that there's nothing I would want to say to change your mind, you want to please God, and that's great!
The only thing though is that you are not the one casting spells... in fact neither is the character in the game, it's all fake and make believe. I haven't ever walked away from a final fantasy game thinking, "Man, I wish I could cast spells... I'm going to go study magic right now!"

Think of the Bible itself, it has stories in it that has to do with demons, magic, and false religions.
I think it's a matter of who the person is, they can either play the game for that point alone, it's just a game... or they see it and are convicted of playing it because they are not strong enough to just play it without it effecting them.

In my opinion, this is just another Romans 14 subject.

Where did you take that quote from?

If someone is obsessed with something enough to get a tattoo of it on their body (aside from Christ or your mum!!!), then they ought to get themselves off of it and find someway else to pass their time.

Also, your post was off-topic. You should've just started a new thread.

I think Kefka was the best FF villian. If anyone thinks another is better, there's a good chance that they haven't played his game. Perhaps they hadn't even gotten into FF until or after the Playstation came out!

I want you to think of what you posted in line with Chronicles of Narnia, a Christian Allegorical story line that has magical elements in it written by C.S. Lewis.

FFIX.
Great gameplay,Original characters and it brings the Final fantasy series back to Its origins.

Then we have FFVII...The reason this got so popular is because of anime freaks and kids who think spiky hair and long swords and TEH UBER KEWLEST.
This has the most uninteresting characters ever including a miserable git who is somehow able to wield a sword bigger than him and carry on his back, One of the first black people in the series who not only resembles Mr T but also has a gun, A girl who was clearly made to please fan boys,A red dog...moving on, A Vampire and a cat...
Notice how all the male characters are miserable + strong and all the girls are cheerful + weak which has become somewhat of a recurring element of the FF series broken only by FFIX. kthxbai.

I see what you're saying, even though VII is one of my favorites.
The reason, I think, that VII is so 'miserable' is because Hironobu Sakaguchi (Producer) lost his mother during production of this game and was wrestling with his grief over his lost, and a lot of the themes in VII were born off of this.

Yeah but FF8 was also as miserable as Dog with two legs.
The Final Fantasy series is supposed to be Colourful(Still...No America)
and Magical and in this one you find yourself fighting machine guns in a dull power plant thing...That is Fantasy?!?
