  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A scene with Jessica Alba on the bridge, I wasn't prepared for it and it knocked me out like Evander Holyfield.

well, I think you should compare it with other super hero movies and leave room for those kind of scenes. My only suggestion if you are bringing kids is to see it first, or ask someone who seen it.

I just saw it today. I ignore the majority of negative reviews I've read and watched the movie with an open mind. I was hoping for an enjoyable film and that's what I got. Critics are just idiots, after the bashing they did for this movie I'm never listening to them again.

I tried to tell my friend about it but he WON'T see it because of what the critics are saying. Do you realize he was biased towards this movie before it came out because a critic said the trailer of the movie didn't look good, and therefore thought the movie would be terrible?

Its ridiculous I tell you...

which scene?

Here ya go...
On the bridge, Sue Storm (Alba) is needed to turn invisible to get past the cops. She turns invisible, but her clothes don't turn with her, it's suggested that she take off her clothes. Well after she's stripped down to her bra & panties, she suddenly becomes visible again... and then invisible and sheds her underwear and goes on her way... her clothes are gathered up and she's able to stay invisible until she has her clothes back on...

Well, as I said, its a movie! Hollywood movies always tend to have these type of scenes. Spiderman one had the kissing scene which got many people I know upset but hey its Hollywood.

I think it's gonna be lame, gut feeling. It may not tank completely, it's amazing what people will pay to see, myself included. But I think, from the previews anyways, that's it's dialogue and plot are gonna rival SW Episode 3 for sheer silliness.

" It was more than a Kiss lol. That kiss also won the MTV Movie's award for best kiss because it was more than a kiss."

I don't understand, how is it "more than a kiss"? Just cuz it won an MTV reward doesn't make it anything more than what it was: a kiss. Sure, a very passionate kiss, but a kiss nonetheless.

I've been reading comics for over 25 years now and have seen every comic book based movie (with the exception of Sin City, which I will catch on DVD) and I have to say that F4 is among the most family friendly. F4 was enjoyable. I didn't go see it expecting another Spider-Man or Batman Begins (probably the 2 best "origin" superhero movies ever made so far). It is not a critic favorite and who cares? This isn't Gone With the Wind or anything. It is eye candy. I felt far more satisfied taking my kids to this one than I did taking them to Star Wars III. As for myself, I was actually expecting a worse movie than I ended up seeing and that is always a good thing. I'll definitely buy it on DVD (if only to keep my Superhero Movie collection complete and my kids will watch it again and again). There have been worse movies this summer and past summers. Maybe they'll fix a few issues in the sequel.

Peace.

Galactus would be awesome! Annihilus would be pretty neat as well. But I would think that it might be most appropriate to have Moleman in it. It would be cool to see the quartet in the middle of New York battling a huge monster who popped out from underground (FF #1). Maybe they could have Doom being the brains behind the Moleman. Doom couldn't be too involved with Galactus or Annihilus. The Galactus thing was the most significant F4 storyline, and I'd vote for that if I had a say. Expensive to film, but a blast to watch!

Peace.
