I'm getting it Tuesday (But I might be to drugged up to play it), however I still haven't decided ether to get the 360 or PC version. Anyone got advice on which version to get?

PC Specs:

I'm running it on my laptop with double the RAM and it runs pretty well. Probably won't get to turn all the options on though, it tends to freak out if you turn sharply while out in the wasteland, and VATS can get really slow when the camera cuts back and forth. But the fact that I really don't care about these two occasional niggles shows how awesome it is. I'm having a lot of fun, it's a really interesting world, and I think it's pretty faithful to the original. The gunplay is sweet, the VATS targeting is really good fun, and DC and its surrounding wasteful is eerily beautiful and always has lots going on.

If you get it, the one thing I hear most often is, don't rush it. Apparently the main quest doesn't take that long, but once you complete it, the game ends, completely. I'm taking my time with everything and doing tons of sidequests and it's really involving (bear in mind I'm a bit of an RPG-freak, I don't use things like fast-travel ever....), I've been playing for about 15 hours now, I'm on level 13 and I still haven't gotten through that much of the story quest.

Yeah, I have no doubt that my PC would run it,since it runs on the same exact engine as Oblivion, and my PC can run that everything maxed good, but I think I'll stick to the 360 version since what I have been reading it was the main platform that was developed on, so I'm most likely going to get it for my 360.

Yeah. Like 3 years ago.

And I know its nothing like them (Other than the Black Humor and 50's Culture references and setting)

I don't know about that....the main factions are the same, and the weapons and chems are mostly the same too, as is the stats system. I would say it's less humorous in many ways...but compared to the original, the only major mechanical change is from turn based to real time (and even then VATS is kinda turn-based). It's still pretty violent too, there's still the potential to wipe out pretty much everyone in the game if you're so inclined.

The one thing I wish they had carried over from the previous 2 was that they took you back to some of the same locations in both games, like Vault 13; whereas Fallout 3 is a completely new location - but the DC areas are astoundingly well crafted, so I'm personally not too bothered.

I still don't get how if I shoot a ghoul in the head, there left arm and legs explode.....

Whatever, it's FUN! The game is far too decapitation-happy anyway, at least for me, far too easy to crit on a headshot in VATS.
