Fahrenheit 9/11

It appears Michael Moore doesn't fear God. However, we can pray for him.
Someone asked why I say this.....I believe it to be true because he (MMoore) wouldn't be saying and doing the things he said if he did have a genuine fear and reverence of who our Almighty God is. He wouldn't fabricate a movie to lie to get people to hate Bush and clean American values, even more than many people already do. He wouldn't liken President Bush to Saddam Hussein (an evil dictator) who gassed his own people. He characteristically speaks against Christians and conservatives(aka the "religious right") as degrading society. His hate for President Bush (and America) is evidence of this. To paraphrase something MM recently said, he felt that the more liberal the country becomes the better off it will be. Basically, the further from God we go the better we will and can become. This is the spirit of anti-christ as spoken of in 1 John 2:22 and 4:3 -'Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. And...every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.'
President Bush has professed his faith in Jesus Christ and is attempting to appeal to Christians more than most presidents might. I am going to take the heat on this from the left, but Bush's support from Bible believing Christians and conservatives, is in itself, why I believe he is so despised today by pagans (aka non-believers). ;) :|

So was the movie balanced? Did they show images of dead Americans after the 911 attacks? Did they show Saddam's torture and rape rooms? Did they show the CNN footage of Kurd villages decimated by Saddam's chemical weapons? Was it fair and balanced, or was it a dog and pony show?

actually Michael Moore was planning on being a Priest, believe it or not. He's Catholic
I believe it... my view of Catholicism in light of what God's Word says is different but won't get into details here. PM me if you want to talk. God Bless, Tim;)

Essentially Michael Moore has admitted the movie isn't fair. It has some facts which are indisputable, but that a lot of it is just his own opinion and can be taken for what it is, just a point of view.

I won't bash a movie I haven't seen.

This is definately the most true and logical and intelligent thing said so far.

As to hating America, Michael Moore has said that he thinks Americans are "good people with good hearts" who want to do the right thing.

People love to praise Bush for "doing what he thinks is best for the country". Well, believe it or not, Michael Moore is doing the same exact thing. Its just that those same people happen to dislike Michael Moore's stances.

Even though the Bible says no one is good not even one (Ro 3:12). In fact, it says "The human heart is most deceitful and desperately wicked...." -Jer 17:9)

I don't believe he did lie and fabricate anything. Can you point out the parts which were lies, and please provide me with the factual evidence to back up your claims, because really, if it's false I would like to know so I can make a more informed decision. I didn't see anything in the movie bashing "American values" - which values are you referring to? Whose values? As far as I saw, the idea of free speech and democracy was valued in the film, not curtailed. The film did a good job of conveying the values of a good cross section of people - like the mother whose son died in Iraq, and her pride in the country and in the military, her belief that our soldiers are good guys. I didn't see that as negative.

I just got back from seeing the film. Can't say I loved it - it was hard to watch in many parts, but I think it is a very important film and leaves one with a lot of questions. You don't have to believe everything you see in the movies, it's pretty easy to do some background checks on the sources he's cited and to see for yourself.

Maybe Moore didn't exactly lie, but I'm sure he stretched the truth as far as he could.

Like in Bowling for Columbine, Moore gave the impression Charlton Heston made his "cold, dead hands" speech in Denver right after the Columbine shootings, when the speech actually took place a year later in North Carolina. Moore doesn't come out and say the speech took place in Denver, but he sure makes it look like it did.

I for one am not going to waste my time or money on Moore's film.

He might have been raised in a Catholic family but I seriously doubt that he is a practicing Catholic..i.e. Catholicism might be more of a cultural identification than a religious identification. If you are a left wing liberal then you are opposing a great deal of non-negotiable Catholic teachings (abortion, same sex "marriage," euthanasia etc). I dont know his heart so I cant say that he is or isnt anything - but from what I know he does not seem Catholic at all.

Does it bother anyone that the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah wants to support this movie and spread it in the Middle East???
I heard about that. It bothers me greatly. I don't want any of my money going towards a movie endorsed or supported by a terrorist group.

Two things: 1 - every thing in the movie was based on a fact. That fact was also presented to you.

2 - Is the movie biased? Yes. Is the Bush administration biased? Yes. Proof? The amount of factual information that was NOT presented to the general public regarding 9/11 and the war on Iraq. Stuff that Moore presents to you.

Conclusion - Don't follow blindly.
