Hi, I have severe OCD (OCD is an obsession of irrational thoughts), anyway, I am very afraid God won't forgive me because I get so terribly afraid if I really committed a sin or not. For instance, my brother used to have a Gameboy and I worry if I broke it along time ago. He doesn't talk about it, however, he brought up his Gameboy the other day and I apologized to him just in case I broke his Gameboy. I'm afraid because what if I really did break his Gameboy and I didn't tell him that I 100% know it was me? Am I lying? I worry about A LOT of other things but I'm worried that there is no hope for me and I'm going to Hell because I said ''what if'' and didn't say it was me, although I'm unsure if it was me. I have done this with potential past sins because I'm unsure whether I did something or not I'm worried because I have this issue with other things and I have apologized to others though I'm unsure if I offended them.
There are 3 (really 2) things Jesus taught Soon to be Christians about salvation.. 1 The whole Law all of it is full filled in just two points. meaning the whole law of God can be summerized in just two things. one Love God with all of your being (heart, mind, spirit and strength) 2 love your neighbor as yourself. then three which is really apart of two, if you want to be forgiven the forgive others who sin against you, for if you can not forgive your brother of a lessor sin, your Father will not forgive the debt you owe Him!
Now, if your brother broke your game boy how would you want him to go about making the situation better? how or what would he have to do for you, inorder for you to forgive him?
Whatever that is... now be honest, because whatever you want, is expected from you to do to him.
Read the story of the unmerciful servant:
21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? was brought to him. 25 Since he was not able to pay, He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded.
29 “His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’
30 “But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31 When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.
32 “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ 34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”
heres it is in story form
