Not only contradicts the Bible when you have 500 million year old rock (according to the evolutionist assumptions) 1000 feet high setting on top of 100 million year old rock there is something wrong with man's interpretation of history.
Evolutionists do not date rocks. Geochemists/Geochronologists date rocks. Geochemists/Geochronologists are not evolutionists, they are Geochemists/Geochronologists. Please understand the difference between the two different scientific disciplines. Thank you.

I can't for the life of me understand this fixation on Kent Hovind.

I remember one night when America was so fixated on Monica Lewinski, they broke in with news bulletins that she was about to make a public appearance; and all she did was come out of the courthouse, cross the street and go into the next building.

Mr. Hovind must have really rattled the Devil's chains.

They are dissing and mocking him because they are afraid of him. Why do you think the IRS locked him up for such a long time on a such a farce?

You can believe that if you must, but it is really generated by the crazy things he says, which tend to lead to mocking.

And, too bad he couldn't find a good enough lawyer to prove the charges were all a farce.

Everything is done for God's plan. Check this out.....

Despite Kent’s tribulation, he has managed to lead over 700 prisoners to Jesus Christ and write over 30 books over the duration of his imprisonment.

And.... actually, his charges and guilty verdict were:

Hovind had faced trial in March on charges of contempt of court, mail fraud and conspiracy related to actions he took with respect to property seized by the government as the result of his 2006 conviction.

The jury did not reach a verdict on the fraud and conspiracy charges thanks to the persistence of jury foreman Don Camacho, but, in a sort of compromise, found Hovind guilty of contempt of court.

Hardly tax evasion. Also, many believe they went after him because he was exposing the TOE for what it is ..... a total farce.

The mockers trust the government because they probably are the government. The same people that diss and mock Hovind probably mock Aaron Swartz. The government leveled 13 felony indictments against Aaron Swartz. Ridiculous. Same with Hovin, ridiculous!! IRS has lost all credibility with most Americans, but not government workers or paid shills.

I found Oral Roberts' followers to be more interesting. My grandmother mercifully passed a few months ago, and in digging through her finances the family found out that she had sent a tidy sum to Oral Roberts over the years. It sickens me to think of how his "send me money or I'll die" took money out of the pockets of little old ladies. At the same time, I am fascinated by how con men go about their craft..

It's like God had him hostage in that tower. 'Send money, or the preacher gets it!' :D

I've been here long enough to know that just saying Jesus walked on water is inviting mock & ridicule.

If someone claims the above based on faith, no problem.

If someone claims the above based on scientific fact, problem.

Kenny says certain things are scientific fact, which are not = problem.

I remember that. It was despicable and so indicative of religion propped up by mammon.

Fortunately, following Jesus does not require mammon. Just your heart. Run from people that are always asking for money, religious or not.

Sorry ... I don't believe that one bit.

I operate on faith not science, and believe me, it gets mocked & ridiculed.

Even the people who wrote that Jesus walked on water are accused of everything but what history says of them.

Matthew wasn't Matthew, John wasn't John, they got their information from Q, they weren't martyred, they didn't exist, it was added after the fact, the whole book was voted in by some council centuries later, yadda ad nauseum yadda.

Can't help you there AV.

I have no issue with someone believing the miracles based on faith. I only take issue when they claim they have objective evidence to support the miracles.

Run from people that are always asking for money, religious or not.
But if you don't run, and you are taken in by love-of-money shysters, you can be sure that NASSASETI supporters, who don't mind the government forcing you to support them, will be ... ironically ... calling Christians out on the carpet for their shennanigans.

Farce? Over his lifetime, he has cheated 'we the people' out of at least a million dollars in taxes.
