Of COURSE i would, but that is neither here nor there and has nothing to do with whether i would hire them or not.

I didn't say it should determine if you hire them or not, did I?

So, lets say you had information someone who was a candidate for a job had a criminal record, what would you do with this information?

It would depend on what they were charged with.

Thank you kindly for sharing your views and opinion.
In my case its not just a view or an opinion, I happen to have the academic credentials and professional experience in many of the areas I see being misrepresented, not evolution, but the physical earth sciences.

Hovind has two things going for him: (1) What he presents to his audience (in science) is what they want to hear, and (2) his audience hearing what they want to hear, they not only have no intention of "fact checking" anything he says, very few if any, have the scientific background to do so. And I'll throw in a third. He is a very charismatic.

Controversy from whom?

We know what he said, it is part of the court record. We have recordings of him as well.

Would any of what you have legitimately show him to be a deliberate liar?

What sort of criminal charges would you feel would be ok?

If they were charged with an offense for taking a stand against something dead wrong (a corrupt and downright evil law), for instance, or taking a stand to defend someone/others who could not stand up for or defend themselves, etc.

Yes.

Do you agree with Hovind, when he told authorities, that he didn't have to pay taxes, because God deserved the money, so that excused him from paying taxes?

How does one determine what an "evil" law is?

Can you tell the government, you don't have to pay taxes because the money belongs to God?

Can you answer the question? If you were hiring someone to work for you, would you want to know if they had a criminal record?
Not if he said he loved Jesus, look at that gay preacher Ted Haggard who bought drugs and went with a male prostitute, he said he was sorry now he's back making a fortune.
All they need say is we are all sinners and they are forgiven, they are nothing but con men and swindlers who have the perfect marks, when the mark finds out you're a con man they forgive you and let you carry on, it doesn't get much better than that.

I have heard what Hovind said about taxes. He went into detail about it and he raised some solid points.

Apparently he raised the ire of lots o' people and it was deemed necessary to discredit him and shut him up, but to shut him up first and then work on discrediting him LOL!

Doesn't answer the question.

Do you think a person or entity that IS NOT non profit and or tax exempt, should be able to refuse to pay taxes, because they claim the money belongs to God?

Yes or no?

How does one determine what an "evil" law is?

Perhaps it depends on one's perspective if said law is "evil" or not.....

it was illegal with a punishment of death if one hid Jews and didn't turn them in

shall i continue?
