  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

germs means a bunch of different things.... sometimes people subconsciously relate germs to cancer.... because cancer seems to be like alive like germs are, or something like that

i don't know of any doctor that would call cancer a germ. i don't know of any clinical research biologist that would call cancer a germ.

the only other definition of germ, in a biological context, is any cell that produces eggs or sperm.

and it's not that cancer seems to be alive, cancerous cells are alive just like normal cells.

We are talking about the perception of germs and we are not talking about what germs actually are. When people talk about germs, sometimes regular people (not doctors or scientists or experts) just simply do not know what germs are and what germs are not. When I use the word "Germ," I use it in the looses and most general sense to mean small microscopic germs, bacteria, viruses, cancer cells, anything else that might be really small & dangerous.

germs hurt the body. things hurt the car. germs multiply in the body. things multiple in the car. germs slow down the body. things slow down the car. germs can eventually kill the body. things can eventually kill the car.

Joey, the only thing you have proven as that you don't understand evolution, or biology actually, and you don't understand cars either.... I'm not sure which is worse.

And you can't 'kill' a car, they're not alive.

Okay, JoeyArnold, I hate to tell you this, but these people are at the least completely ignorant and at worst insane. So do not listen to them.

It is. Germs multiply and cause damage while being fought by the body's immune system.

A problem in a car is a single breakage, which does not self-repair, or multiply. It cannot be transferred to other cars. It is perhaps more analogous to a broken bone, although even that will repair itself in the body.

I can come up with a reasonable (likely untrue) idea for something in a car that could be considered comprable to a virus. Actually a couple. Not exact fits, but thigns that once started grow or 'reproduce'.

Note that I said virus, as at least the first one i thought of would require a running engine as a virus requires a host to reproduce.

I'm not claiming the idea I can come up with really occur, but they are more than pipe dreams. I'm not going to specify for now as I'm curious to find out if Joey is creative enough to outline something specific that could concieveably happen in a car.

I'm betting NO.
