The Pew poll is asking leading questions. Notice, the question wasn't asked about DARWINIST (Godless) evolution, the view that humans, and all life we observe today, are the result of ONLY naturalistic mechanisms acting on an alleged single life from from long ago. In fact, the term "evolution" isn't defined in the poll. It's the same meaningless claim made by some there that Christians believe in evolution, with no definition for 'evolution'.

It's meaningless until which particular view of evolution is being asked about.

They understand them well if the poll is something they can accept. If the poll does not agree with their faith belief, it must be seen as not trustworthy.

Also, I am having trouble here with the remarks some are making about evidence.

Evidence can take a hike.

It is true that no one was around to directly observe the Big Bang.

Not even God observed the Big Bang.

However, it is also true that no one was abound to directly observe God creating in six days.

Just God and the angels -- some mentioned by name.

And God documented what He did -- put it in Writing, that is.
