CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That's what you do when you claim that all these creatures we see extremely ancient fossils of are still alive. It would be essentially impossible for those creatures and modern creatures to coexist in the same ecosystem, especially if those creatures remained unchanged. Have you ever perhaps wondered why you don't see a bunch of different species which eat exclusively from the same single food source living in the same environment? It doesn't work, competing with other creatures that much isn't sustainable, either populations must change to other food sources, or they die out.

As I previously said, if you get your head out of the Cambrian marine strata, you will see quite a bit of terrestrial strata.

Did you forget that the tectonic plates are still measurably moving to this day, and strata of rock reflect this arrangement? As do fossil locations as well as the locations of modern animals?

Did you forget I don't believe that happened? I do not believe at any point in time the whole of the earth was covered in water. Also, there would still be land under that water should that have even been plausible.

I'm talking about the Cambrian. Dunno what you are talking about. The Cambrian refers to many different layers, of many different types of igneous and metamorphic rock in addition to the many layers of sediment. The Cambrian refers to an era of time, not a specific individual layer of strata.

In any case, if we go by the scale of the flood proposed by the bible, there isn't enough water on earth to do that, even if the ice caps completely melted and all underground water sources were forced to the surface against gravity.
