Why are we so hellbent on teaching our kids that the earth is millions of years old and that all life evolved then?

Because that's where evidence from astronomy, astrophysics, cosmology, botany, zoology, microbiology, geochemistry, comparative anatomy, embryology, geophysics, stratigraphy, sedimentology, petrology, genetics, biochemistry and other branches of science all point. These sciences make observations, observations conducted by many tens of thousands of dedicated, intelligent, informed researchers, over a couple of centuries, many of whom are devout Christians. Those same researchers have constructed, tested, amended and validated hypotheses that, in toto, provide the best available explanation consistent with all those observations and such explanations include a world 4.5 billion years old and a biodiversity originating from evolution.

The most probable alternative explanation is that God has fabricated the evidence to create a false impression of age and of evolution. I don't recall lying as being a notable feature of the Christian God, so I reject that option as fatuous.

Could it be that this is a lie of the devil to discredit the word of God?

Could it be that this view is a deluded attempt to avoid the clarity of evidence writ large in Creation to defend a minority, ill-informed interpretation of Scripture.

Do you know what the gospel is? Jesus didn't teach the gospel because he IS the gospel! He came to bleed and die on a cross because there is no remission of sin without bloodshed. The wages of sin is death and God so loved the world he gave us his only son to do God's work and pay the debt of death we earned for ourselves so that when we believe in him we have everlasting life. Jesus preached this same gospel very vaguely when he said things like destroy this temple and I will raise it up in 3 days and again at the last supper. Jesus didn't preach the gospel the way you say he did.



People already do and they are born again. This does not yet happen without knowing the biblical gospel of Jesus.

And is there something wrong with parroting scripture? I don't think so if you use it to strengthen your case. Jesus literally did nothing but parrot scripture when he was tempted by Satan until Jesus finally told him to leave.



Again there is no evidence for much of what is being said here. I think you really need to go back and do some bible history and scripture reading before you start making claims that you did here. You are going along with the status quo that the bible is outdated and can be invalidated when urantians actually believe you shouldn't be a urantian until you are a master of the bible. But I feel strongly that none of them really are.

Sure, he set aside his heavenly glory to live the life of one of his own created beings. He lived and died for us. He revealed the true Father to mankind and made the way of salvation more clear.

Actually, what has happened is the anti-evolution crowd has no answers, they cannot defend the evidence in the earth compared to the YEC claims of the Israelite authors of Genesis. So, when an alternative explanation is given to them they attack me, the UB etc.

That can only be true if macro evolution is true. For us to prove this to be true we must identify the anatomical mechanism that produces an evolutionary change in a life form. We must be able to observe its' process repeatedly, or possibly recreate a scenario for this to happen in a natural environment for macro evolution to jump from scientific theory to scientific fact. Otherwise you are literally just finding things out in the wilderness, piecing them together like a jigsaw puzzle to conclude your theory as fact, which can be done with plenty of things other than evolution.

Just because something is used as evidence doesn't mean that the evidence was produced by said theory. Like in a murder trial, evidence is presented but is it sufficient to draw a valid conclusion off of?

The fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of ALL mankind. That ALL men and women are sons and daughters of the living, loving God, that by faith we may realize this ennobling truth, and by this same faith we are saved. This was "the good news" of the gospel. Jesus referred to the spiritual fellowship of believers as "The kingdom of Heaven", a present tense reality.

To the self proclaimed "chosen people", this gospel was unacceptable!

Innate to life is the original endowment of adaptation, a striving for perfection. This purposive potential comes from the God who's plan is being realized in the experiential evolution of life. Also, if evolution has been fostered by higher intelligence, we wouldn't be able to find that in the fossil record which is merely the byproduct of those influences. And mind, all mind high and low, is influenced by spirit.
